THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: THAT, WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City of Vernon that Section 5 of Ordinance No. 586 names a street in the City of Vernon as Seville Street, when in truth and in fact the City Council intended to name said street Seville Avenue. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED: Section 1: That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 586 be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 5: That a certain public street in the City of Vernon known as Seville Avenue, running north and south between Fruitland Avenue and 46th Street be, and the same is hereby officially named Seville Avenue." Section 2: There being no newspaper printed, pub- lished and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall post same, or cause same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: Northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the northwest corner of 37th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, and the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City; that this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of posting. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 17th day of February, 1953. Section 5 of said ordinance named Seville Avenue between Fruitland Avenue and 46th Street incorrectly as Seville Street. Seville Avenue between 2.1.6th Street and Vernon Avenue is correctly shown and officially named Seville Avenue on map of Tract No. 11;256, recorded in Book 337, lages 25 to 28, of Laps, Records of Los Angeles County, California. As we are preparing to erect street signs on Seville Avenue from Fruitland Avenue to Vernon Avenue, it is recommended that to avoid confusion in the record, Section 5 of Ordinance No. 586 be amended to read as follows: That a certain public street in the City of Vernon known as Seville Avenue, running north and south between Fruitland Avenue and 46th Street, be and the same is, hereby officially named Seville Avenue.
