ORDINANCE NO. 662

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY
NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY
WITHIN SAID CITY AS A REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPART-
MENTS OF SUCH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COM-
MENCING JULY 1, 1953, AND TO PAY THE BONDED OR OTHER INDEBTED-
NESS OF SAID CITY OF VERNON, OR ANY PORTION OR DISTRICT THEREOF.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: That the amount of money necessary to be
8 raised by taxation upon taxable property within the city of
9 Vernon as a revenue to carryon the various departments of said
10 city for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1953, and to pay
11 the bonded or other indebtedness of said city, or any portion
12 or district thereof, is hereby fixed in the sum of Four Hundred
13 Forty-nine Thousand, One Hundred Eighty-two and 11/100 Dollars
14 ($449,182.11).
15 That said sum so fixed for the purposes hereinbefore
16 set forth, does not exceed the limit fixed by law for such pur-
17 poses.

Section 2:
There being no newspaper printed, pub-
lished and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Ordinance and

shall post same, or cause same to be posted, in three of the
22
most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest
corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner
of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin
board in th~lobby of the City Hall of said City, located at

4305 Santa Fe Avenue, all in the City of Vernon, Los Angeles
County, California; that this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately upon the
passage and posting thereof.
