OOz~~u" 28 o:lll: 0: . - z :IO"'O ~ < OJ 1-> ~ II: 8 !!ail-.."o.o(.J 29 ~ c( 0 U 1&1 oZ>~;;:z~ 01--00% 1Il0U< I- ~ 30 lr "Cl~ <( ~!~ u :l ~ 31 :I 1 ORDINANCE NO. 674 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON Al~NDING LICENSE ORDINANCE 3 NO. 598 BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 25.13 LICENSING, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVENUE AND REGULATION, CENTRAL STATION INDUSTRIAL 4 PROTECTION SERVICE. 5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 6 Section 1: That Ordinance No. 598 of the City of 7 Vernon licensing for the purpose of revenue and regulation of 8 businesses conducted in the City of Vernon is hereby amended by 9 adding Section 25.13 thereto. 10 Section 2: That Section 25.13 shall read as follows: 11 12 13 14 CENTRAL STATION INDUSTRIAL PROTECTIVE SERVICE: (a) Every person engaged in conducting a central station protective signaling system for watchmen, fire alarm or super- visory service shall pay a minimum license of $50.00 per annum, to be paid at the time of applying for or renewal of license. 15 16 (b) The Licensee shall pay to the City of Vernon 2% of the 17 18 gross receipts of business arising from licensee's operations conducted in the City of Vernon, less the sum of $50.00, when 2~b of the gross receipts exceeds $50.00. 19 20 (c) Definitions: 21 "Protective Systems" include, but are not restricted 22 to, automatic sprinklers, standpipes, carbon dioxide systems, 23 automatic covers and other devices used for extinguishing fires, 24 25 and for controlling temperatures or other conditions dangerous to life or property. "Protective Signaling Systems" are electrically operate~ circuits, instruments, or devises, together with the necessary electrical energy, designed to transmit alarms or supervisory or trouble signals, necessary for the protection of llfe or property.
