ORDINANCE NO. 676
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING THE AMOUNT OF
3 MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE
PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY AS A REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE
4 VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SUCH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 1954, AND TO PAY THE
5 BONDED OR OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY OF VERNON, OR
ANY PORTION OR DISTRICT THEREOF.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAINjAS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
That the amount of money necessary to be raised
9 by taxation upon taxable property within the city of Vernon as a revenue to
10 carryon the various departments of said city for the fiscal year commenc-
11 ing July 1, 1954, and to pay the bonded or other indebtedness of said city,
12 or any portion or district thereof, is hereby fixed in the sum of Four Hundred
13 Seventy-nine Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty and 81/100 Dollars,
14 ($479, 580.81).
15 That said sum so fixed for the purposes hereinbefore set forth,
16 does not exceed the limit fixed by law for such purposes.

SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper printed, published and
18 circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify
19 to the passage of this Ordinance and shall post same, or cause same to be
20 posted, in three of the most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: The
21 northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner
22 of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin board in the
23 lobby of the City Hall of said City, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, all in
24 the City of Vernon, Los Angeles County, California; that this Ordinance
25 shall be in full force and effect immediately upon the passage and posting

west corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, at the northeast corner of
Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and the bulletin board in the lobby
of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in
said City, there being no newspaper of general circulation printed and pub-
lished in the City of Vernon.
