Honorable City Council
City of Vernon,
California
VERNON 58, CALIFORNIA
December 3, 1954
Your Honorable Body:
I have been contacted by the County Road Department
with regards to having Downey Road striped for four (4) lanes
of traffic.
To do this, it would be necessary to pass an ordinance
prohibiting parking on Downey Road in all territory under our
jurisdiction.
The County Road Department has informed me that they
are formulating an ordinance prohibiting parking on that part of
Downey Road which borders in County Territory, and it has been
requested by them that we do the same for our territory.
Respectfully yours,
VERNON POLICE DEPARTMENT
