AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING THE AMOUNT OF
3 MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE
PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY AS A REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE
4 VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SUCH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1. 1956~ AND TO PAY THE BONDED
5 OR OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY OF VERNON~ OR ANY PORTION
OR DISTRICT THEREOF.

7 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOW

SECTION 1:
That the amount of money necessary to be
9 raised by taxation upon taxable property within the City of Vernon as a
10 revenue to carryon the various departments of said city for the fiscal year
11 commencing July 1. 1956, and to pay the bonded or other indebtedness of
12 said city. or any portion or district thereof. is hereby fixed in the sum of
13 Six Hundred Fifty-one Thousand, Nine Hundred Seventy-five and 08/100 --
14 Dollars - - - - - - - ;: - - - - - - - ($ 651.975.08 ).
15 That said sum so fixed for the purposes hereinbefore set forth
16 does not exceed the limit fixed by law for such purposes.

SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper printed. published
18 and circulated in the City of Vernon. the City Clerk is hereby directed to
19 certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall post same. or cause same
20 to be posted. in three of the most public places in the City of Vernon. to wit:
21 The northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast
22 corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin board
23 in the lobby of the City Hall of said City. located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue.
24 all in the City of Vernon. Los Angeles County. California; that this ordinanc
25 shall be in full force and effect immediately upon the passage and posting
