AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON DECLARING ITS INTENTION
3 TO CLOSE-UP~ VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF 45TH STREET~
IN THE CITY OF VERNON~ COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES~ CALIFORNIA.

SECTION 1:
That it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Vernon to order the vacation of a portion of that certain public
street in the City of Vernon officially known and commonly referred to as
45th Street. and more particularly described as follows:
That portion of East 45th Street. 60 feet wide, as
shown on the map of New Vernon Tract. in the City of
Vernon. County of Los Angeles. State of California,
as per map recorded in book 4. page 64 of Maps, lying
between the northerly prolongation of the westerly line
of lot 1 in Block 8 of said tract. and the westerly line of
the land described in the deed to Byron Jackson Co. ,
recorded July 21, 1945 in book 22208. page 55, Official
Records.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon elects
17 to handle these proceedings under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3 of
18 the St-reets and Highways Code of the State of California.

SECTION 3:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
20 adopts as a map or plan of the proposed vacation of said East 45th Street,
2l the City Engineer's Drawing designated "A4-1537" and titled "Proposed
22 Vacation of Portion of 45th St. in the City of Vernon. California" and directs
23 that said map or plan be filed in the City Clerk's office of the City of Vernon
24 for particulars as to the proposed vacation.

SECTION 4:
The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby fix the time for the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting
to the proposed vacation, which time and place shall be September 15, 1959,
at 2 olclock p. m.. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of
Vernon. 4305 Santa Fe Avenue.
SECTION 5:
The City Council of the City of Vernon directs
that notices of the proposed street vacation be posted conspicuously along
the line of the street proposed to be vacated. and such notices shall state the

1 passage of this Ordinance of Intention, and the time and place of hearing
2 for all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. Said
3 notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least three (3)
4 of such notices shall be posted along the line of said street proposed to be
5 vacated.

SECTION 6:
There being no newspaper printed, published
7 and circulated in the City of Vernonl the City Clerk is hereby directed to
8 certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall post same. or cause same
9 to be postedl in three of the most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit:
10 The northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast
II corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin board
l2 in the lobby of the City Hall of said City, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
l3 all in the City of Vernonl Los Angeles County, California; that this ordinance
l4 shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of
15 posting.
