3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING ORDlNANCE NO.
642 OF SAID CITY.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
That Section 9 of Ordinance No. 642 of the
7 City of Vernon is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:
8 "That under the authority of Section 22652 of the Vehicle
9 Code of the State of California.. any police officer.. as defined in Section 22651
10 of said Code.. may remove or cause to be removed a vehicle parked on any
11 public street, highway or alley in the City of Vernon, when said vehicle is
12 parked or left standing thereon for one hundred twenty (120) or more consecu-
13 tive hours. II

SECTION 2:
In all other respects said Ordinance No. 642
15 shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 3:
There being no newspaper printed, published
and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to
certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall post same, or cause same
to be posted.. in three of the most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit:
The northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenuej the northeast
corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin board
in the lobby of the City Hall of said City.. located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
all in the City of Vernon, Los Angeles County, California; that this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of
posting.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18' day of April, 1961.
