ORDINANCE NO.
748
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZING A CREDIT
AGAINST CERTAIN STATEMENTS RENDERED TO ELECTRICAL CON-
SUMERS IN THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ORDAI NS AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City of Vernon hereby authorizes a credit
6 to its electrical consumers of a refund granted to the Southern California
7 Edison Company by the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California
8 for excessive charges paid by the Southern California Edison Company and
9 refunded to the City of Vernon for natural gas used for fuel.
SECTION 2:
The effective date of the credit applicable

11 under the terms of this ordinance shall be on or after August I, 1963.
SECTION 3:
The refund period commencing August I, 1963
13 shall extend through the regular periodical billing period next following
14 that date.

SECTION 4:
There being no newspaper printed, published
16 and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to
17 certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall post same, or cau se same
18 to be posted, in three of the most public places in the City of Vernon, to
19 wit: The northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the north-
20 east corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin
21 board in the lobby of the City Hall of said City, located at 4305 Santa Fe
22 Avenue, all in the City of Vernon, Los Angeles County, California; that
23 this ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days from and
24 after the date of posting.
