ORDINANCE NO.
749
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING
OF A CREDIT AGAINST THE RATES CHARGED FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY
DISTRIBUTED AND SUPPLIED BY THE SAID CITY OF VERNON TO ITS
ELECTRICAL CONSUMERS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the granting of a credit against the rates charged for electrical
energy distributed and supplied by the said City of Vernon to its electrical
consumers.
SECTION 2:
Credit "against the rates charged for electrical
energy distributed and supplied by the said City of Vernon to its electrical
consumers" to be given as a perceniage of the net bill rendered for each
billing period after all other discounts and adjustments, as allowed by the
applicable rate schedules, have been made.
SECTION 3:
The amount of credit to be given shall be
determined by Resolutions adopted from time to time by the City Council,
when in its opinion, such credit will not affect the sound financial position
of the Light and Power Operating Funds.
SECTION 4:
There being no newspaper printed, published
and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to
certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall post same, or cause same
to be posted, in three (3) of the most public places in the City of Vernon, to
wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue the northeast
corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin board
in the lobby of the City Hall of said City, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, all
in the City of Vernon, Los Angeles County, California that this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of
posting thereof.
