1 ORDINANCE NO. 758
2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
752 OF SAID CITY.

4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon does
6 hereby find and determine that the recommendation of the Planning Commissio
7 dated June 30.. 1964 recommending the amendment of Ordinance No. 752 be
8 adopte d.

SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon does
10 hereby find, determine and declare that public peace" health.. safety and wel-
11 fare require that Ordinance No. 752 be amended.

SECTION 3:
That the 30th day of June.. 1964 at 10:00 o'clock
13 A. M." in the Council Chambers at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue.. is the time and
14 place for the hearing of all persons interested in the amendment of Ordinance
15 No. 752. That the Los Angeles Daily Journal is a newspaper of general cir-
16 culation published in the County of Los Angeles.. State of California, and notice
17 of said hearing was published therein at least ten (10) days before the hearing.
SECTION 4:
That the comprehensive zoning map contained
in Section 9 of Ordinance No. 752.. which map is a part of said Ordinance.. is
hereby amended to include in Zone MS-1 the following described area:
Beginning at the intersection of the northerly boundary
of the City of Vernon as it existed June 15" 1964.. with
Washington Boulevard; thence southeasterly along
Washington Boulevard to Downey Road; thence southerly
along Downey Road to the railroad right-of-way of the
Atchison.. Topeka & Santa Fe Railway; thence north-
westerly along said railroad right-of-way to said
northerly boundary; thence along said boundary to the
point of beginning.

SECTION 5: That excepting insofar as the above described I
area may be re-zoned MS-1, all zoning as set forth in the comprehensive zoninf
map referred to in Section 9 of Ordinance 752 shall remain in full force and

That the City Clerk be and he hereby is author-
SECTION 6:
3 ized and directed.. pursuant to Section 11 of Ordinance No. 752" at the end of the
4 ensuing calendar year I to revise the comprehensive zoning map of the City of
5 Vernon to reflect this amendment.

SECTION 7:
That excepting as Ordinance No. 752 may be
7 amended by this Ordinance.. all of the provisions contained in said Ordinance No
8 752 shall remain in full force and effect.

There is no newspaper printed and published
SECTION 8:
10 within said City of Vernon. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
11 adoption of this Ordinance and to its approval by the Mayor and thereupon said
12 Ordinance shall be posted by or under the direction of the City Clerk in three
13 (3) public places in said City of Vernon.. to wit:

(1) Bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of the City of Verno
4305 Santa Fe Avenue.
(2) Northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue.
(3) Northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard.
18 Said Ordinance shall be posted within fifteen (15) days after its passage.
19 Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Vernon.. at an
20 adjourned regular meeting of the City Council.. held on the 30th day of June.
