2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 710
OF SAID CITY.

4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
Ordinance No. 710 is hereby amended by
changing Section 20 to read as follows:

nSECTION 20: NEW ESTABLISHED BUSINESSES.
"The first license for any newly established business which is
subject to annual license tax based upon the average number of per-
sons employed shall be ascertained and paid in the following manne
UAfter approval by the City Council to issue such license~
applicant shall pay license fee prorated upon the basis of the calen-
dar quarters or fraction thereof remaining in the current year.
Applicant shall estimate the average number of employees for the
remainder of the current license year~ and use the schedule of
license fees in Section 26 of this Ordinance in determining the
amount of the license fee payable under this section. tt
SECTION 2:
In all other respects said Ordinance No. 710

19 shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3:
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in con-

21 flict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4:
There being no newspaper printed~ published
and circulated in the City of Vernon~ the City Clerk is hereby directed to certif
to the passage of this Ordinance and shall post same, or cause same to be
posted~ in three of the most public places in the City of Vernonl to wit: the
northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of
Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin board in the lobby
of the City Hall of said City~ located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue~ all in the City
of Vernonl Los Angeles County~ California; that this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of posting thereof.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 15th day of June, 1965.
