ORDINANCE NO. 781
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON DETERMINING, PURSUANT TO SECTION
43630 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, THAT NO
PART OF CERTAIN BOND ISSUES REMAINING UNSOLD SHALL BE ISSUED OR
SOLD.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to Section 43630 of the

Government Code of the State of California, the City Council
determines that no part of the following bond issues remaining
unsold shall be issued or sold:
(a) Light and Power Department Bonds in the amount
of $144,000.00 as authorized by Special Election September
10, 1930 (Resolution No. 601);
(b) Light and Power Department Bonds in the amount
of $600,000.00 as authorized by Special Election April
12, 1937 (Resolution No. 853);
(c) Water Works Improvement Bonds in the amount of
$260,000.00 as authorized by SpeCial Election July 30,
1946 (Besolution No. 1309); and
(d) Fire Station and Equipment Bonds in the amount
of $100,000.00 as authorized by Special Election July
30, 1946 (Resolution No. 1309).
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 does hereby find that in excess of three (3) years has expired

20 after all bond elections authorizing the above described bonds.
SECTION 3: There being no newspaper printed, published
22 and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby
23 directed to certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall
24 post the same, or cause the same to be posted, in three (3) of the
25 most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest
26 corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner
27 of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin
28 board in the lobby of the City Hall of said City, located at 4305
29 Santa Fe Avenue, all in the City of Vernon, Los Angeles County,
30 California; that this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
31 thirty (30) days from and after the date of final passage as set
32 forth below, and that upon said Ordinance taking effect said bonds

1 remaining unsold and described in this Ordinance shall become void.
