Ordinance No. 789 .1 ORDINANCE NO. 789 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 656. ;3 4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 5 SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 656 of the City of Vernon is 6 hereby amended by deleting therefrom Section 3 of said Ordinance. 7 SECTION 2: There being no newspaper printed, published 8 or circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby 9 directed to certify to the passage of this Ordinance, and shall 10 post the same, or cause the same to be posted, in three of the 11 most public places in said City, to wit: The northwest corner of 12 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis 13 Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the 14 lobby of the City Hall in said City, located at 4305 Santa Fe 15 Avenue, all in the City of Vernon, Los Angeles County, California. 16 That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) 17 days from and after the final adoption of this Ordinance. 18 19 1968. 20 21 22 23 24[ 25 I 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 16th day of January ATTEST: C~?'-"- ~'-">\.J F. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 789, reads as follows: "Ordinance No. 656 of the City of Vernon is hereby amended by deleting there- from Section 3 of said Ordinance." Section 3 of Ordinance No. 656, reads as follows: "Any firm, person or corporation, either as owner, agent or employee, desiring to engage in the business or occupation of Watchman Service shall, upon the City Council granting a permit so to do, and upon being notified that said permit has been granted, subject to the filing of an indemnity bond, shall deposit with the City Council an indemnity bond in the amount of $5,000.00 to indemnify the City of Vernon against litigation, loss or damage caused directly or indirectly from the operation of said business licensed hereunder."
