ORDINANCE NO. 803
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON, FIXING THE RATES TO BE CHARGED
FOR ELECTRICAL EN"ERGY DISTRIBUTED AND SUPPLIED BY SAID CITY OF'
VERNON WITHIN ITS BOUNDARIES, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NOS. 766,
783, and 786 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THJ~ CITY OF V1~RNON DOES <RDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The rates to be charged and collected, and
7 the terms, provisions and conditions respecting the distribution
8 of electrical energy supplied by the City of Vernon for service
9 rendered on and after the effective date of this Ordinance, shall
10 be those rates, terms, provisions and conditions as set forth in
11 Southern California Edison Company Advice Letter No. 342-E, dated
12 September 5, 1969, to the Public Utilities Commission of the State
13 of california, applicable to "Schedule No. A-I General Service,
14 Schedule No. A-7 General Service, Schedule No. A-8 General Service-
15 Large, Schedule No. D-l Domestic Service, Schedule No. DM, Domestic
16 Service-Multi-Family Accomodation, Schedule No. LS-l Lighting-
17 Street and Highway utility Owned System, Schedule No. LS-2 Lighting
18 Street and Highway Customer-Owned Installation, Schedule No. OL-l
19 Outdoor Area Lighting Service, Schedule No. P-l Power-General
20 Connected Load Basis, Schedule No. PA-l Power-Agricultural and
21 Pumping Connected Load Basis, Schedule No. PA-2 Power-Agricultural
22 and Pumping Deptand Basis, Schedule No. TC-l Traffic Control Service"
23 and further, the rates, terms and provisions and conditions as set
24 forth in Southern California Edison Company Advice Letter No.
25 298-E of December 2, 1964 to the Public utilities Commission of
26 the State of california, applicable to Schedule No. S-Standby,
27 said Advice Letters being made a part of this Ordinance as though
28 set forth in full.
SECTION 2: OrdinancES Nos. 766, 783, and 786 of the

30 City of Vernon, and all other Ordinances or portions thereof in
31 conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The rules and regulations respecting the

11 distribution of electrical energy supplied by the City of Vernon
2 shall be those rules and regulations of the Southern California
3 Edison Company applicable to electrical service in the city of
4 Vernon, and filed with the City Clerk of the City of Vernon on
5 December 27, 1961, and subsequent thereto, up to and including the
6 date of enactment of this Ordinance.
7 The City Council of the City of Vernon may
8 from time to time authorize by resolution changes in the rules and
9 regulations applicable to said electrical service, not in conflict
10 with rate schedules, relating to conditions of service and appli-
11 cation, and interpretation of rates, and relating to other pro-
12 visions set forth in this Ordinance.

SECTION 4: Any provision of the rules and regulations
14 of the Southern California Edison Company relating to the exercise
15 of jurisdiction by the Public utilities Commission of the state of
16 california shall be deemed to refer to and mean the City Council
17 of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 5: Ordinance No. 749 of the City of Vernon is
19 hereby deemed to still remain in full force and effect, and not to
20 have been repealed by this Ordinance of the City of Vernon, and
21 the allowance or credit given pursuant to Ordinance No. 749 or any
22 resolution adopted pursuant thereto shall remain in full force and
23 effect, and shall be applicable to all the rates as set forth in
24 this Ordinance.
SECTION 6, The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is

26 hereby directed to keep and maintain three (3) copies of the above
27 mentioned rate schedules and rules and regulations applicable to
28 electric service in the City of Vernon, in the office of the City
29 Clerk of the City of Vernon, and make said tariff schedules
30 available on request for examination in said office.

SECTION 7: There being no newspaper printed, published,
32 or circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby

1 directed to certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall
2 post the same, or cause the same to be posted, in three of the
3 most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest
4 corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner
5 of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin
6 board in the lobby of the City Hall of said City, located at 4305
7 Santa Fe Avenue, all in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles,
8 state of California; that this Ordinance shall be in full force
9 and effect thirty (30) days from and after the final passage of
10 the same.
