.1 ORDINANCE NO. 812
2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, PROHIBITIN
THE DISPLAY 01" ANY FACSIMILE OF A :FIREARM WITH THE INTENT TO
3 TERRIFY, ALARM, THREATEN, OR INTIMIDATE ANY PERSON OR PERSONS.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: No person within the City of Vernon shall
6 display any facsimile of a firearm with intent to terrify, alarm,
7 threaten, or intimidate any person or persons within the City of
8 Vernon.

SECTION 2: All other Ordinances or parts thereof in
10 conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.

SECTION 3: Every violation of this Ordinance is hereby
12 declared to be a public nuisance.

SECTION 4: Violation of this Ordinance is punishable
14 by a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by
15 imprisonment in the County Jail for not more than six (6) months,
16 or by both such fine and imprisonment as the committing magis-
17 trate may direct. Each day during any portion of which any
18 violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance is committed,
19 makes such violation a separate offense.

SECTION 5: There being no newspaper of general circu-
21 lation printed, published and circulated in the City of Vernon,
22 the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the passage of
23 this Ordinance and shall post the same, or cause the same to be
24 posted, in three of the most public places in said City, to wit:
25 The northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the
26 northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and
27 on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of said City,
28 located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, all in the City of Vernon,
29 Los Angeles County, California.
