1 ORDINANCE NO. 825
2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VERNON, FIXING CERTAIN RATES TO BE
CHARGED FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY DISTRIBUTED AND SUPPLIED BY SAID
3 CITY OF VERNON, WITHIN ITS BOUNDARIES.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The rates to be charged and collected and
6 the terms, provisions and conditions respecting the distribution
7 of electrical energy supplied by the City of Vernon for certain
8 classes of service rendered on and after the effective date of
9 this Ordinance, shall be those rates, terms, provisions and
10 conditions as set forth in Southern California Edison Company
11 Advice Letter No. 354-E, dated October 29, 1970, to the Public
12 Utilities Commission of the State of California, applicable to
13 the following schedules:

Schedule No. LS-1 Lighting-Street and
Highway Utility-Owned
System
Schedule No. LS-2 Lighting-Street and
Highway Customer-Owned
Installation
Sheet No. 4201-E
Sheet No. 4202-E
SECTION 2: To the extent that Ordinances Nos. 806 and
19 816 fix rates for the above classes of service, those portions
20 and only those portions of Ordinances Nos. 806 and 816 are
21 hereby repealed.

SECTION 3: The rules and regulations respecting the
23 distribution of electrical energy supplied by the City of Vernon
24 shall be those rules and regulations of the Southern California
25 Edison Company applicable to electrical service in the City of
26 Vernon, as adopted by Ordinances Nos. 806 and 816, or any re-
27 solution adopted pursuant thereto shall remain in full force and
28 effect, including Rule No.2, Description of Service, Sheet No.
2"9 4190-E, which will be in effect as of the date of enactment of
30 Ordinance No. 816.

SECTION 4: Any provision of the rules and regulations
32 of the Southern California Edison Company relating to the exercise

1 of jurisdiction by the Public Utilities Commission of the State of
2 California shall be deemed to refer to and mean the City Council
3 of the City of Vernon.
4 SECTION 5: Ordinance No. 749 of the City of Vernon is
5 hereby deemed to still remain in full force and effect, and not
6 to have been repealed by this Ordinance of the City of Vernon,
7 and the allowance or credit given pursuant to Ordinance No. 749
8 or any resolution adopted pursuant thereto shall remain in full
9 force and effect, and shall be applicable to all the rates as
10 set forth in this Ordinance.
11 SECTION 6: Any other Ordinance or portion thereof in
12 conflict with this Ordinance is hereby repealed, excepting
13 Ordinances Nos. 749, 806, and 816, the latter two of which are
14 partially repealed as set forth in Section 2 above.
15 SECTION 7: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
16 hereby directed to keep and maintain three (3) copies of the above
17 mentioned rate schedules and rules and regulations applicable to
18 electric service in the City of Vernon, in the office of the City
19 Clerk of the City of Vernon, and make said tariff schedules
20 available on request for examination in said office.
21 SECTION 8: There being no newspaper printed, published,
22 or circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby
23 directed to certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall
24 post the same, or cause the same to be posted, in three of the
25 most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest
26 corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner
27 of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin
28 board in the lobby of the City Hall of said City, located at 4305
29 Santa Fe Avenue, all in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles,
30 State of California; that this Ordinance shall be in full force
31 and effect thirty (30) days from and after the final passage of
32 the same.
