ORDINANCE NO.. 871
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA, 1959, BY INSERTING
THEREIN ORDINANCE NO. 868"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI:TY OF VERNON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Ordinance No" 868 has been adopted, by title,
for a first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Vernon held on October 5, 1976; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Vernon that said Ordinance shall become a part of the
City Code of the City of Vernon as described above;
IT IS ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That at the time Ordinance No. 868 shall be

in full force and effect, said Ordinance shall comprise a portion
of the City Code of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: Whenever Ordinance No.. 868 of the City of
16 Vernon shall take effect, said Ordinance shall be inserted in the
17 City Code of the City of Vernon as CHAPTER 15, with the numbering
18 of each Section and Subsection to be preceded by the number
19 15.. (point).
20 SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect on January 1,
21 1977.

SECTION 4: The now existing Sections of the City Code
23 of the City of Vernon, 1959, being Sections 15.1 through 15.46
24 inclusive, are hereby repealed effective January 1, 1977, and all
251 the new Sections provided for in Ordinance No. 868 are hereby
26 inserted in lieu thereof, constituting CHAPTER IS of the City
271 Code of the City of Vernon, 1959.

SECTION 5: There being no newspaper of ge~eral circula-
tion printed, published and circulated in the City of Vernon, the
City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this I

Ordinance and shall post the same, or cause the same to be posted II
in three (3) of the most public places in said City, to wit: the

1 northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast
2 I corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the
3 bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of said City, located
4 at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, all in the City of Vernon, Los Angeles
5 County, Ca1iforniao That this Ordinance shall be in full force
