7 Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require

All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance

7 "An act to provide for work upon streets, lanes, alleys, courts,

amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto.
Section 2. That the work or improvement hereby ordered is

19 act of the legislature of the state of California, entitled "Asp

21 II' certain assessments for the cost of street work and irnpr^ver ent
22 I within municipalities, and also for -the payment of such bonds,":
23 approved February 27, 1893, and the several acts amendatory there-
2 4 of and supplementary, thereto, that bonds shall b- issued 'to re-

26 be serial, extending over a period of ten years from the second
27 day of January nei,_-t succeeding the issuance of said bonds, an even

the City hall at the j orth-west corner of `EThirty-eighth and Irving
Streets.
The CityClerk is also ilirectedAo post conspicuously f^r
five days on or near the cumber door of the >oard of ' rustees,
notice of said _ork, with specifications, inviting sealed proposal
or bids fordoing the work hereby ordered. Said notice shall
require all proposals or bids offered to be accompanied by a check
payable to the order of the 'resident of the Board of Trustees,

less than ten per cent of the aggregate of the proposal, or by a
bond for the said amotiT�at and so payable, signed by the bidder and
by two sureties, who shall justify, before any officer competent
to administer an oath, in double the said amount, and over and
above all statutory exemptions.
The day of December, 1918, is hereby-,esignated and
fixed as the day on vnrhich up to the hour of o' clock a.l..7. the
said proposals or bids shall be received, and the said notices
