It is hereby determined by the Board of Trustees that seria
bonds shall be issued to represent assessments of twenty-five
($25.00) dollars or over for the cost of said work or improvement;
said serial bonds shall extend over a periOd of nine years from an
after the seoond day of January next succeeding the issuance of sa
bonds, and an even aa.ual proportion of the prinoipal sum thereof
shall be payable by coupon on the second day of January every year
after their date until the whole is paid. ~he interest on said
bonds shall be payable semi-amnually by coupon on the second days
of January and July respectively, of eaoh year, at the rate of
seven ('l per oent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole 0
said principal and interest is paid. Said bonds and interest
thereon shall be paid at the offioe of the city treasurer of the
City of Vernon. Said bonds shall be issued in accordance
with, and pursuant to the provisions of an act of the legislature
of the State of California, entitled. "AB Act to provide a system
of street improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for
the cost of street work and improvements within municipalities, an
also for the payment of such bonds," approved February 27th, 1893,
and all aots supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof.
All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance
of an act of the legislature of the state of California entitled,
"Qn Act to provide for work upon streets, lanes. alleys. courts,
places and sidewalks. and for the construction of sewers within
municipalities," approved Maroh 18. 1885 and all acts supplemen-
tary thereto or amendatory thereof.
It is further resolved that the Oity Marshall of the Oity
of Vernon be, and he is hereby, selected, designated and appointed
Superintendent of streets of the City of Vernon, and as such, is
hereby instruotea, &mpowered and designated to perform any and all
duties required of him by law.
There being no daily, semi-weekly or weekly newspaper pub-
lished or ciroulated in the Oity of Vernon, the City Clerk is here-
