Resolution No. 212 .A - 1 WHEREAS, a general municipal election of the City of 2 Vernon is to be held in the said city on Monday, the loth day of 3 April~ 1922, for the purpose of electing three (3) members of the 4 Board of Trustees of said city, and 5 WHEREAS, it is neoessary and required that election pre- 6 cincts be fixed and established therefor; that the polling place 7 thereof be aelected, designated and established; that the hours 8 during which the polls for such election shall be, and remain 9 open be fixed, and that notice of such election be given, 10 NOW Tb'EREFORE, IT IS HBREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF 11 TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON 12 That there Shall be one (1) voting precinct for the pur- 13 pose of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation of 14 the regular election precincts established for the holding of the 15 last general state or county election as follows: Consolidated 16 Precinct No.1, comprising state and county precincts No, Vernon 17 City Nos. 1 and 2 and that portion or portions of Laguna Nos. 5 18 and 6 and Fruitland Ho.s 1 and 2, described ana bounded as follow , 19 to wit:- 20 Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of 52nd streetwi th the centerline of ~.lalabar Street as shown on map 21 of Hun!ti8ton Park Extension No.1, as per map recorded in Book 8, page 181~ of I;iaps~ records of the County of Los 22 Angeles, State of California; thence easterly along the centerline of 52nd Street and its prolongation easterly to 23 an intersection with the centerline of the right-ot-way of the Los Angeles Railway; thence northerly along the center- 24 line of said right-of-way to an intersection with the pro- longation westerly of the south line of Lot 3, Block 22 in 25 said Huntington Park Extension No.1; thence easterly along the prolongation westerly of and the south line of said Lot 26 ~, Block 22 and its prolongation easterly to an intersection with the east line of Lot 7 said Block 22 Huntington Park 27 Extension No.1; thence northerly along the east line of said Lot 7, Block 22 to a point 20 feet southerly from the 28 south line of Fruitland Road; thence along a line parallel to the south line of Fruitland Road and distant twenty (20) 29 feet south from easterly to an intersection with the west line of Lot 2 Tract 2836 as per map recorded in Book 35, 30 pages 88 and 89, of Maps, records of said Los Angeles County State of CaRifornia; thence southerly along the west line of 31 said Lot 2 Tract 2836 to an intersection with the centerline of an alley running easterlyand westerly through Block 9 of 32 said Huntington Park Extension 1/0. 1; thence along the pro- longation easterly of the centerline of said alley running eaeterly and westerly through said Block 9 easterly to a -1- ,.... ,_.- t 11.-.. f,< , ,- , ~ - point in the northerly prolongation of a line eight (8) feet east from and parallel to the East boundary line of the City of Huntington Park; thence along said line eight (8) feet east from and parallel to the east bound- ary line of the City of Huntington Park, southerly to an intersection with the prolongation westerly of the south line of the four and forty-nine hundredths (4.49) aore paroel of land assessed to the'/estern Malleable Casting Co. in 1920; thenoe easterly along said prolongation westerly of and the south line of the four and forty-nin hundredths (4.49) acre paroel of land assessed to the Western Malleable Castings Co. in 1920 and its prolonga- tion to an interseotion with the oenter line of Boyle Ave; thence southerly along the centerline of Boyle Ave. to an intersection with the prolongation westerly of the southerly line ot the right-of-way of the Pacific Eleo- tric Railway Co; thence easterly along the prolongation westerly of the southerly line of the right-of-way of the Pacific Electric Railway Co. to the east line of Boyle Ave; thence easterly sontherly and easterly along the southerly boundary line of said right-of-way and its prolongation easterly to a point in the east line of the right-ot-way of~he San Pedro brnnch of the I_os Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad; thence northerly along said east line of the right-of-way of the San Pedro branch of th e 1,os Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad to the south line of Slauson Ave; thence westerly along the prolongation westerly of the south line of Slauson Ave. to the west line of Downey Road; ,thence northerly along the west lin of Downey Road and the Vernon and Downey Road to a point said point being four (4) feet south of the north line of Lott 22 of the 500 acre tract of the Los Angeles Fru1 - land Association as shown on map recorded in Book 3, pag s 156-l5'7.
