That any and all rights of the City of Vernon in, and

to said street and alley, are hereby expressly reserved.
5. That the grantee pay to the City of Vernon, during the
term of said franchise, the sum of One and nO/100 ($I.OO) Dollar

annually, the same to be due and payable on the 2lst day of ~arc
