Resolution No. 2641 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.I" A RESOLUTION OF ILTZ1.1ION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF CITY OF VMU4h, STATE OF CALIFOREIA. THE BOARD OF TRUST$ES OF THE CITY OF VERNON, STATE OF._._.__ 6�CALIFORNIA, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:- 7 Sec. 1.' That the public interest and convenience re- 8 quires, and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the 9,City of Vernon to order the following improvement to be made, 1a to wit: 11 i That a vitrified pipe sanitary sewer, eight inches (811) 121n diameter, together with the appurtenances hereinafter described 13 a constructed in East �6th Street in said City of Vernon from 14the existing manholexbe�—a point twenty five feet (25t) west of the Avenue 15 ast lire of Sante Felt oa point two thousand one hundred and 16,eighty feet (2,180t) easterly therefrom and across all streets 174 ntersecting all along the line of said sanitary sewer, together 18'�ith certain manholes, flush tanks, iron frames and covers, and 14 ther appurtenances all in full, accordance with Plan and Profile . 155, and in further accordance with the following standard planb 21'I Manholes to be constructed in accordance with Plan . C-1. C-5. Flush tanks to be constructed in accordance with Plan Sets of cast-iron frames and covers in accordance with No. C-3, arid in further accordance with Specification No.12 27lfor the construction of sanitary sewers.in the City of Vernon. Wo=` 28 All specifications herein referred to are on file in oauo 29 the office of the City Clerk of said City, and are hereby referred F z 30ito and made a part of thisresolution. All plans and profiles here- 31ljin referred to are on file in the office of the City Engineer of 321lsaid City and are hereby referred to and made a part of this resolution. A a 1c 11 Sec. 2. The said Board of Trustees also determines and declares that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of $25,00 or more remaining unpaid twenty days (20) after the date of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nina years (9) from the second day of ,January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November following their date; said bonds shall bear interest at the rate i of seven percent (7%) per annum, and payments of the principal of unpaid assessments and interest shall be made by property owners to the City Treasurer and the same shall be disbursed by jlhim, all as provided in the said Improvement Act of 1911. 12'' 1 13I' 1923, Sec. 3. That on Tuesday, the second day of October, at the hour of ten o'clock, A.M., in the Council Chambers of the Board of Trustees of the said City of Vernon, in the City Hall of said City, situated on the Northwest Corner of 38th Street and Irving Street, any and all persons having any objections to the 7l,proposed work or improvement as herein described may appear.before 18 said Board of Trustees and show cause why said proposed work or 19'iimprovement should not be carried out in accordance with this 20,lresolution; said protests shall be in writing and filed with the 21jlCity Clerk of said Board at the City Hall in said City, at or 22� i 231 prior to the time set for said hearing as herein provided. Sec. 4. Theme being no daily, semi -weekly or weekly newspaper published in said City of Vernon, the City Clerk of said 25City shall certify to the passage of this resolutio n and is hereby 26 directed to cause a true and correct cop y of this resolution of > z 2?II'lintention to be published twice in the "Huntington Park Signal", m , d t 281 Wo=< a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published in the City U 0 U 29 of Huntington Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, in f z 30 which County the City of Vernon is located; which newspaper is 31�hereby designated for the purpose of the publication of this ,Resolution of Intention. A i Sec., 5., -The Street •Superi4te1n4ent of said City of 2 Vernon shall cause to be conspicuously posted alonle the line of 311said contemplated work or improvement, at not more than three feet (3001) in distance apart or not less than three in alb. notices of the passage of this resolution in the manner vLrA taxa required by law. That the public interest and convenience requires, and it is the intention of the Board of Trus- tees of the City of Vernon to order the following improvement to be made, to -wit: That a vitrified pine sanitary sew- er, eight inches (8") in diameter, to- gether with the appurtenances here- inafter described be constructed in East 26th Street in said City of Ver- non from the existing manhole at point twenty-five feet (25') west of , the east line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point two thousand one hundred and eighty feet (2,180') easterly therefrom and across all streets in- tersecting all along the line of said sanitary sewer, together with certain eanholes, Bush t2-nks, iron f,-aines and covers, and other appurtenancea� all in full, accordance with Plan and Profile No. 155, and in further ac- cordance with the following standard I j plans. Manholes to be constructed in ac- cordance with Plan No. C-1. Flush tanks to be constructed in accordance with Plan No. C-5. Sets of cast-iron frames and cov- ers in accordance with Flan No. C-3, land in further accordance with Spe- cification No. 12 for the construction of sanitary sev,,.ars in the City of Vernon. All specificati-ns herein referred to are on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and are hereby referred to and made a part of this resolution. All plans and profiles 'herein referred to are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City and are hereby referred to and Made a part of this resolution. Sec. 2. The said Board of Trus- tees also determines and declares that serial bonds shall be issued to ,represent each assessment of $25.00 or more remaining unpaid twenty -daZ§ _(29) after the date.of the Nvar- rant. Said serial bonds shall extend over -a period ending nine year (9) from the second day of January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November following their date; said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of seven per cent (7 per cent) per annum, and payments on the principal of unpaid assessments and interest shall be made by property .%,_ owners to the City Treasurer and ....... the same shall be disbursed by him, all as provided in the said Improve- ment Act of 1911. Sec. 3. That on Tuesday, the sec- and day of October, 192, at the hcui_ of ten o'clock, A. M., in the Council Chambers of the Board of Trustees of the said City of Vernon, in the City Hall of said City, situated on the Northwest Corner of 38th Street and Irving Street, any and all per- sons having any objections to the !proposed work or improvement as herein described may appear before said Board of Trustees and show i cause why said proposed work or im- provement should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution
