6, CALIFORNIA, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: -
Sec. 1. That the public interest and convenience re-
quires, and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Vernon to order the following improvement to be made,
to wit:
11 That a vitrified pipe sanitary sewer, eight inches (80)
12 in diameter, together with the appurtenances hereinafter described
13,be constructed in St. Charles Streetin the said City of Vernon,
141 from a point nine feet (91) south of the south line of Vernon
151i Avenue to the center line of Junior Street; in Junior Street
1611 from the center line of St. Charles Street to a point 470.15 feet

� westerly therefrom, and across all street intersections along the:.
181 line of said sanitary sewer, together with certain manholes,
i9'I', flush tanks, iron frames and covers, and other appurtenances, all
20I in full accordance with plan and profile No. 157, and in further

Sec. 2. The said Board of Trustees also determines
and declares that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each
assessment of $25.00 or more remaining unpaid twenty days (20)
after the date of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend
511over a period ending nine years (9) from the second day of
January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November
following their date; said bonds shall bear interest at the rate
of seven percent (7%) per annum, and payments- om the principal
of unpaid assessments and interest shall be made by property
owners to the City Treasurer and the same shall be disbursed by
11I1him, all as provided in the said Improvement Act of 1911.
12j' Sec. 3. That on Tuesday, the second day of October,
13111923, at the hour of ten o'clock, A.M., in the Council Chambers
14I of the Board of Trustees of the said City of Vernon, in the City
15IIHall of said City, situated on the Northwest Corner of 38th Street
and Irving Street, any and all persons having any objections to the
17l�proposed work or improvement as herein described may appear before
said Board of Trustees and show cause why said proposed work or
194mprovement should not be carried out in accordance with this
resolution; said protests shA31 be in writing and fi led with the
2111City Clerk of said Board at the City Hall in said City, at or

23i1 Sec. 4. There being no daily, semi -weekly or weekly
newspaper published in said City of Vernon, the City Clerk of said

10` Trustees of the City of Vernon passed its Resolutior.. of Intention
ll No. 265, to order t!,-e following improvement to be _;lade to wit:
12 That a. vitrified pipe sanitary serer, 8" in diameter,
13 together with the appurterar--ces described in the said Resolution
14 of Intention, be constn-acted in St. Charles Street, in the said
15 City of Vernon, as more particularly described in, said Resolution
16 of Intention, referee_ce to which is hereby e7pressly made for full
17 particulars.
18 That, after the adoption of said Resolution: of Intention,
19 he personally posted conspicuously along the line of said conte.,ip-

The e-.vct nixiaber of notices posted on each and every
one of slid streets or highways being as follows:
Thirteen (13) of said notices posted on St. Charles
Street, from a point 9' south of tie south lire of Vernon Avenue
to the center line of Junior Street, twelve (12) of said notices
were posted on Junior Street, between St. C-,-,arles Street and
the western termination of Junior Street, and ten (10) ofsaid
notices were posted on Audrey Street, between St. Charles Street
and Hawthorne Street.
That copies of said notice in time, form, mar:-.er and
number, as re'uired by law, were posted on all t'ie streets and
parts of streets or other public places or rights -of -way lying
within the said district proposed to be assessed.
'-Sat he completed all tJie work of posting all of said
notices on SepteT;.ber 17th, 1923, whereupon he made this affidavit
ind filed it with the City Clerk of the City of Vernon..
