A RESOLUTION OF INTEhTION.OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE CITY OF VER Oh, STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:-
71 Sec. 1. That the public interest and convenience re-
si quires, and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the

9I City of Vernon to order the following improvement to be made,
10 to wit:-
11 That ►t. Charles Street, within the slid City of
12 Vernop,from the south line of Vernon Avenue to the north li ne of
13 Junior Street be improved in the following manner:
14 A. That said St. Charles Street between the limits
15 above mentioned be graded to the official grade and the roadway
16 space thereof be paved with asphalt concrete pavement in accord-
17 ance with Specifications No. 18, and Plan, Profile and Cross
18' Section No. 158 of said City.
19 B. That a cement concrete curb be constructed along
20 both sides of the roadway space of said St. Charles Street between
21 the said limits above referred to in accordance with Specification
22I No. 9, and Plan, Profile and Cross Section No. 158 of said City.
23 C. That a cement concrete gutter, one foot (1 ) in
24 width be constructed along Aoth sides of the roadway space of the
25, *aid St. Charles Street between the said limits above referred to,
26 excepting, however, that across all street intersections the said

office of the City Clerk of said City. All plans, profiles and
cross sections are on file in the office of the City Engineer of
¢1said City. The said plans, profiles, cross sections and speoifica-
5 tions are hereby referred to for the full and detailed description
l 61of said proposed work or improvement.
7i Sec. 2. The said Board of Trustees also determines and
declares that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each
assessment of $25.00 or more remaining unpaid twenty days (20)
after the date of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend
11llover a period ending nine years (9) from the second day of
12'iJ'anuary next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November
131following their date; said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of

14I1seven percent (7%) per annum, and payments om the principal of
15 unpaid assessments and interest shall be made by property owners
161to the City Treasurer and the same shall be disbursed by him, all
171,as provided in the said Improvement Act of 1911,
18 Sec. 3. That on Tuesday, the second day of October,

Sec. 4. There being no daily, semi -weekly or weekly
paper published in said City of�Vernon, the City Clerk of said
ity shall certify to the passage of this resolution and is hereby
rected to cause a true and correct copy of this resolution of

1 intention to be published twice in the "Huntington Park Signal",
2 a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published in the City
3 of Huntington Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California;
4, in which County the City of Vernon is loacted; which newspaper is
hereby designated for the purpose of the publication of this
Resolution of Intention.
Sec. 5. The Street Superintendent of said City of
8 Vernon shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of
91I said. contemplated work or improvement, at not more than three
10' hundred feet � (300 ) in distance apart or not leas than three in
11II all, notices of the passage of this resolution in the manner and
12 form required by law.
13I Sec. 6. All of the herein proposed work or improvement

14 shall be done in pursuance of an Act of Legislature of the State
I5 of California designated and known as "The Improvement Act of
31 1911" and acts supplementary thereto or amaendatory thereto.

That St. Charles Street, in the said City of Vernoi, be
graded, and the roadway space thereof be paved and a cement concrete
curb and gutter be constinucted, as :core particularly described in
said Resoli?tior_ of Intention, referei,ce to which is 1-ereby express-
ly made for full particulars.

he personally posted conspicuously along the line of said contemp-

secting upon the district to be assessed, notice of the passage

being it letters each of which were not less than 1" in heightYi,
copy of said notice being attached hereto and made a. part hereof.
That he personally posted said notices by fastening

would be sure to attract the attention of passersby a.nd be easily
readable.

one of said streets or highways being as follows:
Thirteen (13) of said notices posted on St. Charles
Street, between the south lire of Vernon Avenue and the north
line of Junior Street, and ter (10) of said notices posted on
Audrey Street, between St. Charles Street and HG_wthorre Avenue.
That conies of said notice in time, form, manner ar:d
number, as required by law, were posted on all the streets and
parts of streets or other public places or rights -of -way lying
within the said district proposed t-o be assessed.

in accordance with Specifications No.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN,
that serial bonds shall be issued to
represent each assessment of $25.00
or more remaining unpaid twenty
days (20) after the date of the war-
rant. Said serial bonds shall extend
over a period ending nine years (9)
from the second day of January next
succeeding the fifteenth day of the
next November following their date;
said bonds shall bear interest at the
rate of seven per cent (7 per cent)
per annum and payments on the
principal of unpaid assessments and
interest shall be made by property
owners to the City Treasurer and the
same shall be disbursed by him, all
as provided in the said Improvement
Act of 1911.
