1 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION No.& . 3 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON, STATE OF CALIFORNIA. THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: - See. 1. That the public interest and convenience re- quires, and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon to order the following improvement to be made, to wit: - That sRed �tt 27th Str et in the City of Vernon, from the 12i west line of he Re Lon of the Atchison, Topeka and 13Sante Fe Railroad to the easterly line of the Day Star Tract, 14I as per map recorded in Book 25, Page 66, of Miscellaneous 15IJ Records of the County of Los Angeles, be improved in the follow- ing manner: 171' A. That said East 27th Street between said limits be graded to the official grade and the roadway space thereof be 19" paved with asphalt concrete pave Bent in accordance with Specific- 20,11 atior_ No.18 and Plan, Profile and Cross Section No.159 of said 211 City. 2211, B. That a cement concrete curb be construct d along 23 both sides of the roadway space of said street between said 24 limits in accordance with Specification No. 9 and Plan, Profile 25 and Cross Section No. 159 of said City. 26,'1 C. That a cement concrete.gutter, one foot (1t) in 1 27 width be constructed along both sides of the roadway space of r Z W ¢ �0 .=< 28' said street between said limits in accordance with Specification U o>-0 0 29' No. 10 and Plan, Profile and Cross Section No. 159 of said City. t- Z 30[ There shall be excepted from the above described work 31II any portion of said work that is required by the laws of the 32 State of California to be kept in repair bey any person, firm or corporation. 11 All specifications herein referred to are on file in 2 the office of the City Clerk. All plans, profiles and cross 3I sections herein referred to are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City. The said plans, profiles, cross sections and specifications are hereby referred to for the full and detailed description of said proposed work or improvement. Sec. 2. The said Board of Trustees also determines and declares that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of $25,00 or more remaining unpaid twenty days (20) after 1kp date of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend 11I'I over a period ending nine years (9) from the second day of 1211 January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November 131' following their date; said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of seven percent (7%) per annum, ard. paymentson the principal of unpaid assessments and interest shall be made by property owners to the City Treasurer and the same shall be disbursed by him, 1711all as provided in the,said Improvement Act of 1911. Sec. 3. That on Tuesday, the second day of October, 19111923, at the hour of ten o'clock, A.M., in the Council Chambers 201lof the Board of Trustees of the said City of Vernon, in the City 21lHu.11 of said City, situated on the Northwest Corner of 38th Street and Irving Street, any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work or improvement as herein described may appear before said Board of Trustees and show cause why said proposed work or improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution; said protests shall be in writing and filed with the m I Z7ICity Clerk of said Board at the City Hall in said City, at or z o 0 28j prior to the time set for said hearing as herein provided. °o=< 0 24' Sec. . There being no daily, semi -weekly or weekly W 30 newspaper published in said City of Vernon, the City Clerk of said 31';ICity shall certify to the passage of this resolution and is hereby 3211directed to cause a true and correct copy of this resolution of 1� intention to be published twice in the "Huntington Park Signal", 2 a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published in the City 3 of Huntington Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, 4 in which County the City of Vernon is located; which newspaper is 5 hereby designated for the purpose of the publication of this 6 Resolution of Intention. 7 Sec, 5• The Street Superintendent of said City of 81 Vernon shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of 9 said contemplated work or improvement, at not more than three 1oj hundreM feet (3001) in distance apart or not less than three in all, 11 notices of the passage of this resolution in the manner and form 121 required bylaw. 13Sec. 6. That on the 4th day of September, 1023, the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon passed. its Resolution of Intention. No. 267, to order the following improvement to be i — de, to wit: That East 27th Street, in the said City of Vernon., be graded, and the roadway space triereof be paved q,nd a cement con- crete curb and gutter be constructed, as more particularly des- cribed in said Resolution_. of Intention,reference to which is here- by expressly made for full particulars. Fe Railroad to the easterly termination of said street. That copies of said notice in time, form, manner acid number, as required by lava, were posted on all the streets and parts of streets or other public places or rights -of -way lying within the said district proposed to be assessed. That lie completed all the work of posting all of said notices on September 17th, 10,23, whereupon he made this affidavit and filed it with the City Clerk of t'1e City of Vernon. THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Sec. 1. That the public interest and convenience requires, and it is the intention of the Board of Trus- , tees of the City of Vernon to order the following improvement to be made, to -wit: That East 27th Street in the City of Vernon, from the west line of the right of way of the Redondo Branch of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad to the easterly line of the Day Star Tract, as per map re- corded in Book 25, Page 66, of Mis- cellaneous Records of the County of Los Angeles, be improved in the fol- lowing manner: A.
