Street x 7 at its intersection with'Hawthorne Avenue, all in accordance with 8 specifications No.10, and plans, profiles and cross-seotions No. 9 158, 162, 163 and 164 of said City. 10 The grade to which the work shall be -done and the im- 11 provement made, which are provided for in this resolution, is that 12 shown on the profiles thereof on file in the Office of the City 13 Engineer in which said profiles reference is hereby made for the 14 description of such grade. All specifications herein referred to 15 are on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City. 16 All plans, profiles and cross -sections herein referred 17 to are on file in the 'Office of the City Rngineer of said City 18 and are hereby referred to and made a part hereof. 19 That said plans, profiles, cross -sections and specifi- 20lcations are hereby referred to for the full and detailed description 21 of said proposed work or improvement. 22 SECTION II. Moore's Home Place as per map record- ed in Book 7 at page 82 of Maps, records of the 2 County of Los Angeles; thence along said North line of C.M. Moore's Home Place, Westerly to an inter- 3 section with a line parallel with and distant 173.50 feet Guest at right angles from the West line of Haw- 4 thorn Avenue; thence Northerly parallel with said West line of Hawthorne Avenue to a point 133.50 feet 5 South of the south line'of Vernon Avenue; thence Easterly parallel with the South line of Vernon Ave- 6 nue 75 feet to a point; thence Norther4 parallel .. with the West line of Hawthorne Avenue to the South 7 line of Vernon Avenue; thence Easterly along the South line of Vernon Avenue to a point 100 feet East 8 of the East line of Hawthorne Avenue; thence Souther- ly parallel with the East line of Hawthorne Avenue 9 133.50 feet to a point; thence Easterly parallel with the South line of Vernon Avenue to a point 100 feet 10 west of the West line of St. Charles Street; thence Northerly parallel with the West line of St. Charles 11I Street to the South line of Vernon Avenue; thence along the South line of Vernon Avenue, Easterly to 12j the point of beginning, (excepting from said above description any public street, lane or alley.) 13 The above description is general only. A plat or map of said district, indicating by a boundary line the 14 extent of the territory included in the proposed dis- trict is on file in the Office of the City Engineer 15I of said City; reference is hereby made to said plat 16 or map for a further full and complete description of said assessment district. The said plat or map, 17 so on file, shall govern for all details as to the extent of said assessment district. 18� SECTION III. There is hereby determined and declared by 19lthe Board of Trustees that serial bonds shall be issued to repre- `Ijsent each assessment of $25.00 or more remaining unpaid after the 211ldate of the warrant or the cost of said work or improvement here- in mentioned. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine years from the second day of January next succeeding the fif- teenth day of the next November following their date. That on Tuesday, the fifth day of 51 ftbruary, IWA, at the hour of ten (10) o'olook A.Y., in the Coun- 6 oil Chambers of the Board of Trustees of *"d= W of Vernon in 7 the City Hall of said City, situate Northwest Corner Thirty-eighth 8 Street and Irving Street, Any and all persons having any object- 9 ions to the proposed work or improvement as herein described, may 10 appear before said Board of Trustees and state cause why such pro- 11 posed work or improvement should not be carried out in accordance 12 with this resolution. Said protest shall be in writing and filed 131 with the City Clerk of said Board at the City Hall in said City at 14 or prior to the time set for hearing,herein as provided. 15 SECTION V. That said contemplated work or improvement is, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon, of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and said Board of Trustees did in their Resolution of Intention No. 299 make the cost and expense of said work or improve- ment chargable upon a district, which district said Board of Trustees declared in said Resolution of Intention to be the district benefited by said work or improvement and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof. The boundary of said district is fully described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention No. 299, together with the plat or map of said district indicating by a boundary line the extent of the territory included in the proposed assess- ment district, which is on file with the City Engineer of said City. Reference is hereby made to said map or plat for a further full and complete description of said assess- ment district. The said map or plat so on file governs for all --details as to -the extent-nf said..assessment-district. _- That in said Resolution of Intention No. 299, the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon determined and declared that serial bonds should be issued. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of $25.00 or more remaining unpaid after the date of the warrant or the cost of said work or improvement herein mentioned. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine years from the second day of January next succeeding the fifteenth, day of the next November following their date. An even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable by coupon on the second day of January every year after the fifteenth day of the next November following their date until the whole principal sum is paid; and the interest shall be payable semi-annually by coupon on the second days of January and July, respectively, of each year after their date, at the rate of 7% per annum, on all assessments unpaid, until the whole sum of principal and interest is paid. Payment on the principal of unpaid assessments and interest shall be made by property owners to the City Treasurer and the sum shall be disbursed by him all as provided in said Improvement Act of 1911. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on Tuesday, the fifth day of February, 1924, at the hour of ten (10) o'clock A. M., in the Council Chambers of the Board of Trustees of said City of Vernon in the City Hall of said City, situate Northwest corner Thirty-eighth Street and Irving Street, any and all persons having any objection to the proposed work or improvement as herein described, may appear before said Board of Trustees and state cause why such proposQd_wuor.k or improvement should not be carried_ out in accordance with this resolution.
