. ,A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Vernon declaring the results of the regular MUnioipal
election held Ap~11 14,1\24.
WRBREAS.a general munioipal eleotion was held in
the City of Vernon on MOnday April 14th for the purpose of
eleo ting a Ci tyCl erk. Treasurer and two members of the Board
of Trustees.
AND WHEREAS. it appears that said eledtion was held
and conduoted in aocordance with the general election laws of
the State so far as the same were app1ioable; that the Board
of Trustees gave suoh notice of e1eotion as prescribed by law.
appointing a board of election, fixed their oompensation and
established election preoincts and polling plaoes and that
said election was held and oonduoted and the votes oa.. there.
at were reoe~. vod and oanvassed and the returns th3reon made
in timo. form and manner as r9quired by law,
AIID WHEREAS the Board of Trustees did meet on
this. the 21st day of April. 1924. being the Monday next suo-
oeeding the date of said general Municipal election for the
purpose of oanvassing the votes oast at Bald election in the
only precinct in said City established therefor were as
follows:

4 cast at said general muniaipal eleetion the persons herein naMed
5 reoeived a majority of all the votes oast thereat for the res-
6 peotive offices mentioned.
7 IT IS F~REBY RESOLVE>>~ determined and deolared by the
8 Board cf Trustees of the City of Vernon that the General Mnni-
9 aipal election held in said City on Monday the 14th day of
10 April, 1924 the persons elected to the respective offices for
11 the terms stated and until their successors are duly elected
12 and qualified are as follows:
13 J.J.Furlong as Trustee for the City of
Vernon for the full term of four (4) years

Richard Levy as Trustee for the City of
Vernon for the full term of four (4) years.
T.J. Furlong a8 City Clerk of the City of
Vernon for a period of four (4) years.
Her~ Scheider as Treasurer of the City of
Vernon for the term of four (4) years.
The Clerk and City Treasurer respectively, before
entering npon the duties of their respective offices, shall ex-
ecute a bond to the City of Vernon for such sum as required
by ordinance, such bond shall be approved by the Board of
Trustees and the bond of the City Clerk shall be filed with the
24 President of the Board. All newly eleoted offioers before enter-

ing upon their duties of offiee to whioh they have been eleeted
shall take an~ subscribe to the constitutional oath of office
and file same with the City Clerk.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the
passage of this resolution and thereupon the same shall be in
full foroe and effect.
