The Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon do
resolve as follows:
Section 1.
1'1180 t public interest and oonvenience requires
and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon to order the following street work done or improvements
to be made in said city, to-wit:
That East 52nd Street in said City from the
West line of Santa Fe Avenue to the '!{est lin8 of
Alameda Street be improved in the following
manner:
(~) That said stteet between said limits be
graded and paved with an 8" asphalt concrete
pavement for a width of fourteen feet on each
side of the concrete gutter to be constructed along
the center line of said street; in accordance with
specifications No. 18 and plan, profile and cross-
section No. 145 of said City;
(b) That a. cement concrete gutter 9 inches
in thickness and two feet in width be constructed
along the center line of said street from a point
6l? feet east of the east line oiUa-meda Street
to the west line of Santa \'e Avenue, in accordance
with specifications No. 10 and plan, profile and
cross~section No. 145 of said City;
(c) That decomposed granite shoulders 3 inches
in thickness and five feet in width be constructed
along each side of the pavement of said street in
accordance with specifications No. 18 and plan, pro-
file and cross-section No. 145 of said City.
The grade to Which the above work is to be done
is that grade shown on said plan, profile and cross-
section Ho. 145.
Section 2. The said Board of Trustees also determines and

next November following their date. Payment of the princi-
2 pal of unpaid assessments and interest shall be n~de by property
3 owners to the City l'reasurer and same shall be disbursed by him,
4 all as provided in "The Improvement Act of 1911".

Section 3.
That on Tuesday, the second day of June, 1925,
6 at the hour of ten o'clock A.IiI. in the Council Chambers of the
7 Board of Trustees of said City of Vernon, in the City Hall of
8 said City, situate on the northwest corner of East 38th Street
9 and Irving Street any and all persons having any objections to
10 theproposed v'lork or improvement as herein described may a.;;pear
11 llefore said Board of ~'rustees and S''OYi cause why said proposed
12 work or improvement should not be carried out in accordance
13 with this resolution.
Said protest shall be in writing and
14 filed with the City Clerk of said :Eoard in said City at or
15 prior to the time set for said hearing as herein provided.

Sect ion 4.
There being no daily, semi-weekly or weekly
17 newspaper pUbliShed in said City of Vernon, the City Clerk
18 of said City shall certify to the passage of this resolution
19 and is hereby directed to cause a true and COJ:rect copy of
20 this resolution of intention to be published twice in the
21 flHuntington Park Sic;nal" a. weekly newspaper of general circula-
22 tion publiShed in ti1e City of Huntington Park, County of Los
23 Angeles, State of California, in which county the City of
24 Vernon is located, wIuch newspaper is hereby designated for
25 the purpose of the publication of this Resolution of Inten-
26 tion.
Section 5.
The Street Sup3rintendent of the City of

Section 6.
All of the herein proposed work or improve-
ment shall be done in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature
of the State of California, designated and known as "The
Improvement Act of 1911" and Acts Supplementary thereto or
~e~datory thereof.
Adopted and approved this 5th day of May, 1925.
