RESOLUTION NO. 375
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES A:i'lARDING
CONTRACT FOR THE PAVING OF EAST 52nd S'l'REET.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon
did in open session on the 16th d~ of ~une. 1925, publicly
open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for
doing certain work in said city, under and in pursuance of the
Improvement Act of 1911, the names of the streets and highways
proposed to be improved, and the location and character of said
proposed work being described in Resolution of Intention No.
358 of said Board of Trustees, adopted the 5th day of 1my, 1925,
which Resolution of Intention is hereby expressly referred to for
further particulars; and
WHEREAS, all of said bids received were referred to

the City Engineer of said city for checking and report; and
WHEREAS, the said City Engineer did on the 23rd day

of ~une, 1925, report that The ~r1ffith Company were the lowest
responsible bidders for the doing of said work;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the said Board of Trustees hereby
22 reject all of said proposals or bids excepting that next herein
23 mentioned, and hereby award the contract for the doing of said
24 work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit,
25 The Griffith Company, at the price named in its bid;

The City Clerk is hereby directed to post notices of
