III ~ > .... ~ 3 z ~ 29 :::tn<o~e~ OoC~t:t~il ::!: - u ~ - 0 30 00 "! ~ :t m~ ... ~ x 31 32 1 otherwise, the Board of Trustees having now acquired jurisdic- 2 tion to order the proposed work to be done or improvement to 3 be made, said Board of Trustees does hereby resolve as follows: SectionI: That the public interest and convenjence requires and the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon does 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 hereby order the following improvement to be made: That Santa Fe Avenue in said City from the north City boundary line to the south City boundary line be improved in the following manner: (a) Tl1at Santa Fe Avenue between said limits be graded and paved with a 3 inch crushed rock sub-base, a 6-1/2 inch asphalt concrete base of two layers 3-1/2 inch and 3 inch respectively in thickness, and a 1-1/2 inch asphalt concrete wearing surface (except the area coverecl by the existing pavement on the east side of Santa Fe Avenue from the center line of Fruitland Road to the sout~ City boundary line and between a point two feet east of the east rail of the east track of the Los Angeles Railway and the present east gutter line and the existing pavement on the west side of Santa Fe Avenue, from the center line of Center Avenue to the south City boundary line between a point two feet west of the west rail of tl~ west track of the Los Angeles Railway and the existing west gutter line of said street) also that the road- way of: East 25th Street, between the westerly line of Santa Fe Avenue and ten feet westerly therefrom, also tha t the roadway of; East 26th Street between the easterly line of Santa Fe Avenue and a point fifteen feet easterly therefrom, also that the roadway of ; East 27th Street, from the east line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point fifteen feet easterly therefrom and from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point ten feet westerly therefrom, also that the roadway of; East 28th Street, from the east line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point fifteen feet easterly therefrom, also that the roadway of; East 37th Street from the east line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point ten feet easterly therefrom and from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point ten feet weaterly therefrom, also that the roadway of; East 38th Street, from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point ten feet westerly therefrom, also that the roadway of; East Vernon Avenue from the east line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point ten feet easterly therefrom, also the roadway of; East Vernon Avenue from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point twenty feet westerly therefrom, also that the roadway of East 51st Street, from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to a point ten feet west- erly therefrom be graded and paved with a 6-1/2 inch -2- . . ~ . L (..) 1 asphalt concrete base in two layers of 3-1/2 inch and 3 inch respectively, in thiclmess, and a 1-1/2 inch 2 asphalt concrete wearing surface in accordance with specifications No~ 18 ar~ plans, profiles and cross- 3 section No. 186 of said City; 4 (b) That cement concrete curbs be constructed along the sides of the roadway sp~ce of Santa Fe 5 Avenue between said limits together with curb returns at all intersecting streets in accordance wtth spec- 6 ifications No. 9 and plan, profile and cross-sections No. 186 of said City; 7 (c) Tl~t cement concrete gutters one foot in 8 width be constructed along the sides of the roadway space of Santa :Fe Avenue between said limits in 9 accordance with specifications No. 10 and plan and profile an~ cross-sections No. 186 of said City; 10 11 (d) That cement concrete sidewalks of the width shown on the plan be constructed along the sides of Santa l~e Avenue adjacent to the property lines (except where already constructed to line and grade) in accordance with specifications No. 19 and plan, profile and cross-sections No. 186 of said City. 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 The grade that all of the proposed VlOr};: is to be constructed to is that shown upon said plan, profile and cross-section No. 186 of said City. There is excepted from thi s improvement such portions of said street as are used by any railroad, or railway track or tracks, the space between the rails, and for two feet on each side thereof, and be- tween the tracks if there be more than one. All specifications herein referred to are on file in the office of the City Clerk of said C1 ty and are made a part hereof. 21 Section 2. IB6-B of the City of Vernon, and designated "Plat showing assess- ment district for the improvement of Santa. Fe .Avenue." -3- . . c ~ L \...) 1 The above description is general only. A plat or map of said 2 district indicating by the boundary lines the extent of the 3 territory included in the proposed district is on file in the 4 office of the City Engineer. Reference is hereby made to said 5 plat or map for a further full and complete description of 6 said assessment district. The said plat or map there on file 7 shall govern for all details as to the extent of said assess- 8 ment district. 9 10 11 12 Section 3. The said Board of Trustees also deter- mines and declares that serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of seven per cent (7%) per annum shall be issued to rep- resent each assessment of t"llienty-five dollars ($25.00) or more 13 rema.ining unpaid for twenty (20) days after the date of the 14 15 16 warrant, said serial bonds shall extend over a per iod ending ~ine (9) years from the second day of January. next succeeding the 15th day of the next Hovember following their date.
