RESOLUTION NO, ~79.
A RESOLUTION OF TRE BOAnD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF V'.ffiNON A'NARDIHG THE COHTRACT FOR THE WORK AND IMPROVEMENT
DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTEHTION NO. 357.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon did, in open session, on the 4th day of August, 1925,
open, examine and declare the sealed proposals or bids for
doing certain work and improvement in said City under and in
pursuance of the "Improvement Act of 1911", the character and
location of said proposed work being described in said Reso-
lution of Intention No. 357 of said Board of Trustees, adopted
the 28th day of April, 1925, vnlich Resolution of Intention is
hereby expressly referred to for further particulars: THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the
said City of Vernon hereby reject all of said proposals or bids
except the next herein mentioned and hereby award the contract
for the doing of said work and improvement to the lowest re-
sponsible bidder, to-wit: joe Chutuk, at the price named in
his bid, to-wit: $32,118.90.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish a no-
tice of this award twice in the Huntington Park Signal, a
newspaper published in the County of Los Angeles, the City of
Huntington Park, the State of California, and circulated in
the City of ~ernon, said paper being designated by said Board
of Trustees as the paper to publish the Notice of Award here-
in. (There is not now, nor 1148 there been at any time herein
