RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 387 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON. STATE OF CALIFORNIA. THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON, STATE OF CALIFOBNIA, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:- 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 Section 1;- Tl1at the public interest and convenienoe require. and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon, to order, the following improvement to be ma.de. to-wit: That a vitrified pipe sanitary sewer, eight inches (8u) in diameter, together with the appurtenances hereinafter described, be constructed in East 26th Street in the said City of Vernon, from a point fifteen feet (15') east of the e Q of San ta Fe Avenu& to l!I p&iM-~-"\h.1It""'-"'" IsuJlialf .,.-~ n - .....!II ." feet (2.180') easterly therefrom and from the existing sewer in Boyle Avenue, westerly to a point five hundred fifty feet (550') westerly:therefrom and across all streets intersecting Illl along the line of said sanitary sewer. together with oertain manholes, 'GL flush tanks, iron frames and covers. wyes and other appurtenances all in full accordance wi th Plans and Profiles Nos. 155 and 240, and in further accordance with the following standard plans: Manholes to be constructed in accordance with Plan No. 0-1. Flush tanks to be constructed in accordance with ..r;.,;,; Plan 0-5. All plans and profiles herein referred to are on file in the office of the City Engin- eer of said City and are hereby referred to and made a part of this resolution. Section 2: The said Board of Trustees also determines and declares that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of $25.00 or more remaining unpaid twenty (20) days after the date of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of ~a.nua.ry next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November following their date; said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of seven per cent (7%) per annum, ~nd payments of the principal of unpaid assessments and interest shall be made by property owners to the City Treasurer and the same shall be disbursed by him, all.as provided in the said "Dnprovement Act of 1911." Section 3: That on '..84&7, the 19th day of October, 1925, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the Board of Trustees Df the said City of Vernon, in the City Hall of said City, situated at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work or improve- 21 22 23 24 25 26 ment as herein described may appear before said Board of Trustees and show cause why said proposed work or improvement should not be carried out in accordance with .his resolution; said protests shall be in writing and filed with the City Clerk of said Board at the City Hall in said City, at or prior to the time set for said hearing as herein provided. Section 4: There being no daily, semi-weekly or weekly newspaper published in said City of Vernon, the City Clerk of said City shall certify to the passage of this resolution and is hereby directed to cause a true and correct copy of this resolu- tion of intention to be published twice in the "Huntington Park Signal," a daily newspaper of general circulation, publiShed in -2- . Section 5: The Street Superintendent of the said City of Vernon shall cause to be cOMpicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or improvement. at not more than three hundred feet (300') in distance apart or not less than three in all, notices of the passage of this resolution in the manner and form required by law. Section 6: All of the herein proposed work or improve- 12 13 ment shall be done in pursuance of an Act of Legislature of the State of CAlifornia. designated and known as -The Improvement 14 Act of 1911" and acta supplementary thereto or amend.atory thereof. 15 Adopted and approved, this twenty-eighth day of Septem- 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 ber, 1925.
