The Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon do resolve 9 WHEREAS. the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon 10 did on the 19th day of Ootober, 1925. at a regular meeting of said 11 Board duly pass and adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 393 12 deolaring its intention to order the hereinafter desoribed work 13 to be done or improvement to be made in said City. which Resolution 14 of Intention was duly and legally published as required by law. 15 as appears from the affidavit of J. A. Bowen, the publisher of 16 the Huntington Park Signal, now on file in the office of the City 17 Clerk of said City; and 18 WHERRIS. after the adoption of said Resolution of 19 Intention, to-wit: on the 19th day of October, 1925, notice of 20 the passage of said resolution was conspicuously posted along 21 the line of said contemplated work or improvement in front of 22 all property liable to be assessed therefor, and at not more 23 than 300 feet in distance apart. in the manner and form as re- 24 quired by law, a.s appears from the affidavit of T. J. (except areas covered by railway passenger landings), in accordance with specification No. 18 and plan profile and cross-seotion No. 204 of said city. (2) That oement ooncrete curbs be construoted along the sides of the roadways of said boulevard, together with returns at all interseoting streets and alleys (except- ing therefrom the curbs along the right of way of the Los Angeles Railway Corporation and at passenger landings), in accordance with specifioation No. 9 and plan, profile and cross-section No. 204 of said City. (3) That oement ooncrete gutters one foot (1') in width be constructed along the sides of the roadways of said boulevard (except the sides adj oining the right of w~ of the Los Angeles Railw~ Corporation) and except at street ani alley intersections across which the gutter shall be two feet (2') in width (except at 46th Street in- tersection) 1n accordanfe with specifioation No. 10 and plan, profile and cross-section No. 204 of said oity. (4) That cement concrete sidewalks five feet (5') in width be constructed along eaoh side of Pacific Boule- vard adjacent to the property lines (except as otherwise shown on the plans) in accordance with specification No. 19 and plan, profile and oross-section No. 204 of said city. 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 (5) That a oement ooncrete and steel box culvert be oonstructed on the east side of Pacific Boulevard at Engineer's station 14 plus 44, as shawn on said plan, pro- file and cross-section No. 204 of said City. '!'here is excepted from all the above de8cribed work any portion of which is re~uired by law to be kept in order or repair by any person or company having railway or railroad tracks thereon. I '-..' c 1 2 3 4 5 The grade to which the above described work is to be done is different from the official grade as established on said street and reference is hereby made to said plan, profile and cross-section No. 204 for further particulars. Section .,g: That said contemplated work or improvement is in the opinion of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon 6 of more than local or ordinary benefit; that said Board of Trustees 7 hereby makes the cost and expense of said work or improvement B chargeable upon a district, which district said Board of Trustees 9 hereby declares to be the district benefited by said work or im- 10 provement and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof. 11 which district is bounded and described as follows: 12 13 14 15 All the land lying within the red boundary line as shown on a map on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City. numbered 204-A, and titled "Map showing assessment district for the improvement of Pacific Boulevard from Santa Fe Avenue to the south city boundary line," ex- cepting therefrom any of said land which may be included within the lines of any public street or alley. 16 17 IB 19 The above description is general only. A plat or map 20 of said district indicating by the boundary lines the extent of the 21 territor,y included in the proposed district is on file in the 22 office of the City Engineer. Reference is hereby made to said plat 23 or map for a further full and complete description of said assess- 24 ment district.
