vard and the east line of Pacific Boulevard and a point
411.42 feet easterly therefrom.
(4) Also the construction of deco~posed granite
shoulders four inches in thickness along each side of
the pavement hereinabove described between Alameda Street
and Santa Fe Avenue.
Excepting from all the abpve described work any
portion thereof required by law to be kept in order or
repair by any person or company having railroad tracks
on said 49th street (sometimes called East 49th street).
The grade to which the work shall be done and
improvement made which is provided for in this Resolution
of Intention shall be that shown on the plans and profiles
hereinafter referred to.
That all of the foregoing work and improvement
shall be done in accordance with plans. profiles and cross-
sections No. 243 on file in the office of the City Engineer
and further in accordance with specifications No. 18 for
the construction of pavement. No. 9 for the construction
curbs. No. 10 for the construction of gutters and No. 19
tile construction of sidewalks. all on file in the office
the City Clerk.
S~id plans. profiles, cross-sections and specifica-
tions heretofore ap~roved by said Board of Trustees are in-
corporated herein and made a part hereof and reference is
hereby made thereto for a more com~lete description of
said work as to location and dimensions thereof.
Section 2: That said contemplated work or improvement

is, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon,
of more tlmn local or ordinary benefit; that said Board of Trustees

hereby makes the coat a.nd expense of said 1[fork or improvement charg-

eable upon a district, wtich district the Board of Trustees hereby
23
declares to be the district benefited by said work or improvement
24
and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense.thereof, which dis-
25
26 trict is bounded and described as follows:

The above description is general only. A plat or map
of said district indicating by the boundary lines the extent of
the territory included in the proposed district is on file in
4 the office of the City Engineer. Reference is hereby made to
5 said plat or map for a further full and complete description of
6 said assessment district. The said plat or map there on file
7 shall govern for all details as to the extent of said assessment
8 district.

Section 3: The said Board of Trustees also determines
10 and declares that serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of
11 seven (7~0) per cent per annum shall be issued to represent each
12 assessment of t~enty-five dollars ($25.00) or more remaining
13 unpaid for twenty (20) days after the date of the warrant, said
14 serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine (9) years
15 from the second day of January next succeeding the 15th day of
16 the next November following their date. Payment of the principal
17 of unpaid assessments and interest shall be made by property
18 mvners to the City Treasurer and same shall be disbursed by him.
19 all as provided in liThe Improvement Act of 1911."

Section 4: That on Honday. the 21st day of December.
21 1925, at the hour of eight o'clock P.1:I.. in the Council Chai:i1bers
22 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon, in the City Hall
23 of said City, situate at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City. any
24 and all persons haying any obj ections to the proposed work or
25 improvement as herein described may appear before said Board of
26 Trustees and show cause why said work or improvement should not

11 said contemplated work or imrpovement, and in front af all
12 property liable to be assessed to pay the cost and expense of said

Section 7:
All of the herein proposed work or im-
16 provement shall be done in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature
17 of the State of Califo mia, designated and known as liThe Improve-
