NO. 393.
''T.HEPEAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon,
did, in open session, on the 7th day of December. 1925, open,
examine and declare the sealed proposals or bids for doing cer-
tain work and improvement in said City under and in pursuance
to the "Improvement Act of 1911", the character and location
of said proposed work being described in Resolution of Intention
No. 393 of said Board of Trustees, adopted the 16th day of Novem-
ber. 1925, \'/hich Resolution of" Intention is hereby expressly
referred to for further particulars.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of said
City of Vernon reject all of said proposals or bids except the
next herein mentioned and hereby award the contract for the doing
of said work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder,
to-wit: L. A. Paving Co., Inc.. at the price named in its bid,
to-wit:
Per square foot for asphalt concrete
paving including grading,
Per lineal foot for cement curb,
Per s~uare foot for cement sidewalk,
Per s~uare foot for concrete gutter,
For one culvert complete,

The City Clerk is hereby directed to publiSh a notice
of this award twice in t)~ Huntington Park Signal, a newspaper

publiShed in the County of Los Angeles, City of Huntington Park,
State of California~ and circulated in the City of Vernon, said
paper being designated by said Board of Trustees as the paper
to publiSh tl~ lTotice of Award herein. (There is not now, nor
