A RESOLUTION OF 'J..'RE BOA.'ill OF TRUSTEES DECLARING
'I'HEIR INTENTION TO ORDEH CERTAI11 WORK AND IUPHOVE-

nm TEE DIS'I.'HICT TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY TIrE COST AND
EXPENSE OF SAID IMPROVEMENT.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon do resolve
as follows:
Section 1: That the pUblic interest and cODvenience
re~uire and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Vernon to order the following street work done or improve-
ment to be made, to-wit:
That Holabird Avenue in said City from the easterly

boundary line of the City of Vernon to a point 3325 feet westerly

therefrom be improved in the following nanr!er:
(a) That the roadway of a&id street between said limits
be graded and the center twenty-four feet thereof between
said limits be paved with asphalt concrete pavement eight
inches in thickness. also that 2 inch by 8 inch redwood"
header boards be installed along each side of said pavement
between said limits;
(b) J\lso dedomposed granite shoulders four feet in
,lidth and four inches in thickness shall be constructed
along eaCll side of said pavement betvleen said limits (except
where othervlise shown in said plans).
The grade to which th e wo 1'k shall be d one and imp l' ove-
ment made which is provided for in this Resolutian of In-
tention shall be that shown on the plans and profiles h.ere-
inafter referred to.

All of the foregoing work and improvement slmll be done
in accordance with plans. prOfiles and cross-section No.
"253 on file in the office o~ the City Engineer andfurther
in accordance with specifications No. 18 for the construc-
tion of pavement on file in the office of the City Clerk,
S~id plans, profiles and cross-sectiins and specifica-
tions heretofore approved by said Board of 1'rustees are
incorporated herein and made a part hereof and reference
is hereby made thereto for a more COmI)lete description
of said vlork E'.s to location and dimensions thereof.

'l'l1e above description is general only. A plat or map
of sa.id district indic2,ting by the boundary lines the extent of
the territory included in the proposed district is on file in
the office of the City Engineer. Reference is hereby made. to
said plat or map for a further full and complete description of
said assessment clistrii:t. The said IJlat or map there on file
shall govorn for all details as to tIle extent of said asseSSLlent
distriot.
Section 3: The said Board of 'l'rustees also determines
a.nd declares that serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of
seven per cent (7%) per annum shall be issued to represent each
assessment of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or more remaining un-
paid for twenty (20) days after the date of the warrant, said
serial bonds shall extend over a period adding nine (9) years
frO'l tho second day of Jc\nuary next succeclling the 15th cmy of
the l1ext:Cfoveuber following their dc1.te. Payment of the prinCipal
of unpaid aSseSSl'ilents and interest shall be made by property
mmers to the City Treasurer and same shall be disbursed by him.
