The Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon do
resolve as follows:

Vernon did. on the 1st day of February. 1926, at a regular meeting
of said Board duly pass and adopt its Resolution d: Intention No.
424. declaring its intention to order the hereinafter dellcribed

all property liable to be assessed therefore. and at not more
than 300 feet in distance apart. in the manner and form as
required by law. as a'lJpears from the affidavit of T. J. Furlong.

posted same. and who upon the completion of said posting of said
notices forthwith made and filed his affidavit in the office of
the City Clerk of said City of Vernon, making oath that he com-
plated the posting of said notices on the 15th day of February,
1926; and

That the public interest and convenience
require and the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon does hereby
order the following improvement to be made:

That Holabird Avenue in said City from the
easterly boundary line of the City of Vernon to a
point 3325 feet westerly therefrom be improved in
the fo Ilmving manner:

(a) That the road\7ay of said street between
said limits be graded and the center t\7enty-four feet
thereof between said limits be pa.ved with asphalt
concrete pavement eight inches in thickness, also that
2 inch by 8 inch redwood header boards be installed
along each side of the sai d pave::lent between said limit 13;

(b) Also decomposed granite shoulders four feet
in width and four inches in thickness shall be constructED.
along each side of said pavement between said limits
(except where otherwise shown in said plans).

The grade to which the work shall be done and
improverllent 1IJB.de which is provided for in the Resolution
of Intention herein shall be that shown on the plans and
profiles herein~fter referred to.
All of the foregoing work and improvement shall
be done in accordance with plans, profiles and crOS8-
sections No. 263 on file in the office of the City Engin-
eer and further in accordance with specifications Ho. 18
for the construction of pavement on file in the office
of the City Clerk.

Said plans, profiles and cross-sections and
specifications heretofore approved by said Board of
Trustees are incorporated herein and made a part hereof
and reference is hereby made thereto for a more complete
description of said work as to location and dimensions
thereof.

Section 2: That said contemplated work or improve-
26 ment is in the opinion-of the Board of TY'l1stees of the Citv of
27 Vernon of more than local or ordinary benefit; that said B~a!'d
of Trustees hereby makes the cost and expense of said work or
28 improvement chargeable upon a district, which district said Board
of Trustees hereby declares to be tile district benefited by said
29 work or improvement and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense
thereof, which district is bounded and described as follows:

excepted therefrom any of said land which may be
included within the lines of any public street or
alley.
The above description is general only. A plat
or map of said district indicating by the boundary
lines the extenVof the territory included in the
proposed district is on file in the office of the
City Engineer. Reference is hereby made to said
plat or map for a further full and complete descrip-
tion of said ~ssessment district. The said plat
or map there on file shall govern for all details
as to the extent ill said assessment district.
Section 3: The said Board of Trustees also deter-
declares that serial bonds bearing interest at the rate

of seven per cent (7%) per annum shall be issued to represent each
121 assessment of Tvrenty-five dollars U:~25.00) or more remaining unpaid
I for twenty (20) days after the date of the warrant. said serial

141 bonds shall extend over a period ending nine (9) years from the

second day of January. next succeeding the 15th day of t~le next

paid assessments and interest Shall be made by property owners to

Section 4: For further particulars reference is

22 now on file in the office of the City Clerlc of the City of Vernon,

Section 5: The City Clerk is hereby ordered to post
25 notices inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the above de-
26 scribed work, together with the specifications therefor con-
