'fmEllliAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon did. on the 22nd day of lfurch, 1926, open, examine and
declare the sealed proposals or bids for doing certain work
and improvement in said city under and in pursuance to the
"Improvement Act of 1911", the character and location of
said proposed work being described in Resolution of Intention
No. 424 of said Board of Trustees, adopted the 1st day of Feb:tt-
uary, 1926, which Resolution of Intention is hereby expressly
referred to for further particulars.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of said
City of Vernon reject all of said proposals or bids except the
next herein mentioned and hereby award the contract for the doing
of said vlork and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder,
to-wit: GRIFFITH COlTI?AN'I. at the price named in it::;; bid, to-wit:
Per s~uare foot for asphalt concrete paving,
including grading and headers,

The City Clerk is hereby directed to publiSh a
notice of this award twice in the Huntington Park Signal, a news-
paper pul~lished in the County of Los Angeles. City of Huntington
Park, state of California, a.nd circulated in the City of Vernon,
said paper being designated by said Board of Trustees as the paper
to publiSh the Notice of Award herein. (There is not now. nor
has there been at any time herein mentioned a daily. weekly or
