A RESOLUTION OF TH::E BOARD OF TRUST,1lES OF THE
CITY OF VERNON .A:\VARDIHG TR;~ CONTRACT FOR T:FlE WORK
AlTD IMPROVEIT.mlfT DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTEN-
TION NO. 444.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon
8 did, in open session on the 2nd day of August, 1926, open,
9 examine and declare the sealed proposals or bids for doing
10 certain work and improvement in said City under and in pur-
11 suance to the "Improvement Act of 1911", the character and
12 location of said proposed work being described in Resolution
13 of Intention No. 444 ~f said Board of Trustees, adopted the
14 7th day of June, 1926, which Resolution of Intention is hereby
15 expressly referred to for further particulars,
16 T~~FORE,
17 BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of said
18 City of Vernon reject all of said proposals or bids except the
19 next herein mentioned and hereby award the contract for the
20 doing of said work and improvament to the lowest responsible
21 b~dder, to-wit: L. A. Paving Co. Inc., at the price named in

The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish a notice
of this award twice in thu Huntington Park Signal, a newspaper
published in the County of Los Angeles, City of Huntington Park,

State of California, and circulated in the City of Vernon, said
paper being designated by said Board of Trustees as the paper
to pUblish the Notice of Award herein. (There is not now, nor
1ms there been at any time herein mentioned a daily, weekly or

1 semi-weekly newspaper printed. published and circulated in said
2 Ci ty of Vernon).
