The City Council of the City of Vernon does resolve
as follows:
!'!fa!' w::t1JljrusAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
did, on the 1st day of October, 1928, by Resolution duly
adopted, divide said City of Vernon into two tax districts,
known as "City of Vernon Tax: District No.1" and "City of
Vernon Tax District No.2"; and
\~, since the passing of said Resolution No.

524 there has been added by annexation to said City of Vernon
other territory known as "Vernon and Downey Territory"; and
WHEREAS, the said City of Vernon has received from
the County Auditor of the County of Los Angeles a statement
of the assessed valuation of the entire city, and in said
statement said newly annexed territory was described as
"Tax District No.3"; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of
the City of Vernon to place the said Vernon and Downey
territory referred to by the County Auditor as Tax District
No. 3 into Tax District No.1;
-lfOW THER1!:FOBE BE n' RESOLVED:
SECTION 1.
That the newly annexed territory, known as the
"Vernon and Downey Terri tory" and referred to by the County
Auditor of the County of Los Angeles as "Tax District No.3"
be, and the same is hereby, made a part of the City of Vernon
Tax: District No.1.

2 That the City C].erk of the C1ty of Vernon be,
3 and he is hereby, instruc.ted to send a cert ified copy of
4 this Resolution to the County Assessor and County Auditor
5 of the County of Los Angeles for their information and
