The City Council o.f the City of Vernon does resolve
as follows:
W'HERE.IS. the City Council of the city of Vernon did.
on the 18th da.y of March, 1930 J at an ad.j ourned regular meet-
ing of said City Council, duly pasa and adopt ita Resolution
of Intention No. 578. declaring its intention to order the
hereinafter desexi bed work to be done or impro.vemen.t to. be made
in said City, whioh Resalution of Intention wa.s duly and r'egula.r-
ly published, a.s required by law, as appe,ars from the affidavit
of Jewel Morgan, Chief C1erk to the publisher of the Huntington

16 the City Clerk of said Oity; and

SECTION t.
5 That public interest a.nd convenience require, and
6 the Oi t.y Counc i 1 of the 01 ty of Vernon doe 13 hereby order,
7 the fol~owing improvement to be made, to-wit:

Ca) That East Twenty-sixth street, between :Minerva,
9 Street and Soto Street be gnded and certain portions o.:fthe
10 roadway thereof paved with aspha.ltio ooncrete pa.vement eight
11 inches in thickness and that cement conorete gutters. be COn-
n struoted along the sides of' said roadway, a.nd that certain
13 cement. concrete curb and oertain cement concrete sidewalk be
14 constructed along the sides of said roadway, all as shown on
15 the plans hereinafter refarred to.

(b) That certain vitrff'ied clay pipe house connec-
17 tion aewers, six inches in diameter, be constructed in that
18 portion of East Twenty-sixth Street here.inbefore mentioned,
19 between the existing sewar and the property ~ines of said
20 street, all as shown on the plans hereinafter referred '0.

Cc) That Minerva Streat betwaen kat Twenty-sixth
Street and the northerly boundary line of the City of Vernon,
be graded a.nd certain portions of the roadway thereof paveK[
with asphaltic concrete paveme.nt eight inches in thic1mess.
and that cement concrete curb and cement concrete gutter be
construClted along the wastarly' side of said roadway, all as
shown on the plans hereinafter referred t.o.
Cd} That Harriet. Streat, between East Twenty-
sixth Street and the northerly boundary ~ine of the city of

by law to be kept in order or repair by any person or company

provement macle which is provided for in this Resolution of

m ai:ter referred to, and reference is hereby made to said
plans and profiles far a description of such grade.

numbered 394 on file in the office of the City Engin.eer of
said City, and, ex.cept as otherwise provided for on said plans,
in further aoccordanoa with Specifications No. 20 for the con-
strue:tion of' asphaltic concrete pavement, Specifications No. 9
for the construction of Cement Ooncrete Curb, Specifications
lio. ~O for the construction of Cement Concrete Gutter, Speci-
fications No. 19 for the construction of' Cement Concrete Side-
wa.lk and Specifications No. 1.2 :tor the cons.truction of Sanitary
Sewers and a.ppurtenances thereto, said specifica.ticllts being on
file in the office of the City Clerk of' said City.
Said plans, profiles, cr:oas-sec"tions and specifica..-
tions, heretofore approved by sa..id Cjty Oounci~, are incor-
po.rated herein and made a part hereof and reference is hereby
made thereto far a more comp~ete and detail.ed descriptio.n of
said work as to l.ocatian and dimensions thereof.

SECT ION III.
The said City Council. also determines and dea.laras
that serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of seven (7%)
per cent per annum ahall be issued to "represent each assess.-
ment of' Twenty-five ($2.5.00) Dollars or more remaining unpaid
for thirty (30) days ai'ter the da"te of' the warrant. Sa.id
serial bonds shall. extend over a p.eriod ending nine (9) years
from the 2nd day of january next stlcaeeding the 15th day of
next November following their date. Pa3lllent of the princ:ipa1
of unpaid ass-asaments and interaat shaJ.1 be made by property
owners to the Oity Treasurer and the same sha.1~ be di8buraed
by him. all as prov ided in "!he Dnprovement Act. Qr' 1911."
