RESOLUTION NO. 599 A DSOLUTION OF THE CITY CWNCIL OF THE CITY or VERNON, CALlrORNIA, DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION, CON- STRUCTION AND COMPLETION or A CERTAIN BEVENUE-PRODUCING JroNICIPAL IMPROVDENT. TO-WIT: WORKS FOB GENERATING, TlWlSMITTING AND DISTRIBUTING ELECTRICITY FOB THE PURPOSE OF SUPPLYING SAID CITY AND ITS INHABITANTS WITH LIGHT J HEAT AND POWER J INCLUDING THE ACQUISITION OF LANDS, RIGHTS OF WAY. APPARATUS AND OTHER PROPUTY J AND THE CONSTB.TJCTION OF ELBCTRIC GDJ:BATING WORKS, SUB-STATIONS, TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTING LINES, CONDUITS AND OTHER 'IOBKS NECESSARY TlmREFOB, AT AN ESTDlATED COST or THREE MILLION NINE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLABS ; THAT SAID MUNICIPAL IMPROVE- MENT IS NECESSARY AND CONVlmIENT TO C.ABRY OUT THE OB- JECTS, PURPOSES AND POWEBS OF SAID CITY OF VEBNONi THAT THE COST THEREOF IS AND WILL BE TOO GBBAT TO BE PAID OUT OF THE ORDINARY .ANNUAL INCOD AND BEVENUE OJ' SAID CITY. BE IT RESOLVED and determined, by the City Council of the City of Vernon, California,as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition, construction and completion by said City ot Vernon, ot a certain revenue-producing lIIW1icipal im- provement, to-wit: works for generating, transmitting and distributing electricity tor the purpose of supplying said city and its inha.bitants with light, heat and power, includ- ing the acquisition at lan4s, rights ot way, machinery, ap- paratus an4 other property, and the constructiond electric -1- . .e e . . generating works, s'Ub-stations,transmission and Clistributing line, conduits and other works necessary theretor. Section 2. That said municipal improvement is nec- essary and convenient to carry out the objects J purposes and powers ot said City of Vernon. Sectlon 3. That the estlmated eost of sald proposed munlclpal improvement is the sum ot Three lIillion Nine Hundred Tho'Usan4 Dollars <p,900,OOO.OO) and that such cost i8, and will be too great to be paid out ot the ordinary annual income and revenue ot said city. Section 4. That the City Clerk ot said city shall at- ~est this resolution, shall certity to the passage and adoption thereof, and the vote thereon; shall cause the same together with his said certific,ate to be entered in the Book ot Resolu- tlons of said city and shall make a minute ot the passage and adoption thereot in the ~lnutes ot the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
