SECTION 1. That the City of Los Angele., CalI-
fornia, through the Board ot Water and Power Commission-
ers of said City of Los Angeles, is hereby granted per"'!
mission to construct, operate and maintain a 33,000 volt
electric light and power transmission line, together
with poles, orossarms and lower voltage oonductors and
with the neoessary appurtenanoes aoross, along, over
and upon that certain public street within the Cit.,
limits of the City of Vernon known 8.S 26th street, c.em-
menc1ng at a point on the West side of Santa Pe Avenue
at a point where the North side ot25th street inter-
sects the West 81de ot Santa Fe Avenue, thence t'..terly
along the North s1de of 25th street to a point where
the North line of 25th Street intersects the kat line
of Alameda street; thenoe Wortherl., along the East slde
ot Alameda Street to the City boundary line ot the City
ot Vernon, and upon, over and across all intersecting
streets, alleys and property between the beginning and
ending points above described and. adjacent thereto, tot'
the necessary and convenient supporting poles and w1'l'es,
all of which are shown on map drawing No. l557A-l 4ate4 .
Maroh 12, 1930, attached to said petition so on tile ..a
aforesaid, uJlan the following terms and conditions to-
wit:
FIRST: !hat a bond in the principal swn of
$1.000 be furnished to said City of Vernon at
or before the time ot the adoption of this reso-
lution, guaranteeing the replacement ot any im-
provements damaged during construction.

SECOND: That all work of construction will
be performed in a gOod,workmanlike, safe and
efficient manner, and that said line will at all
times be maintained during the lite 01' this per-
mit in first elass condition and repair, and so
as not to constitute a menace to lite or property.
mIRD: That all reasonable precautions, accord-
ing to good engineering practice, be taken at all
times during the li'e ot this permit and the ex-
istence of said line, to safe-guard lives and
property in the vicinity thereot; and,
'OURTH: That the City ot Vernon shall have the
tree use of any and all poles erected along the a-
bove described route for the installation and main-
tenance of an electric light and power trall8llission
11ne, tree and clear of all rents, taxes and any and
all charges or expenses ot any nature whatsoever,
provided, however, that any such eleotric power and
transmission line of the City of Vernon shall be
. installed and maintained beneath the electric light
and power transmission wires of the City ot Los
Angeles and 1n conformity to the rules and regula...
tions of the California Railroad CommissIon.
SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby finds. after receiving evidence upon the
subject, that the route delineated upon the map attach-
ed to said petition on file as aforesaid, is feasible
and practicable. and is located 80 as to interfere as
little as possible with the uses or said portion ot said
street.

SECTIOIi 3. This permit shalJ, continue indefinitely
subject to revocation by the City Council of the Oity
of Vernon, California, provided, however, that no such
revocation shall be made unless at least thirty (30)
days' notice ot intention to so revoke shall have been
served upon the permittee, and a hearing had befoN
said Oity Council of said City of Vernon upon the
reasons which, in the opinion ot said Council, require
the revocation of the permit herein granted.
SECTION 4. A oopy of this resolution duly cert!""!
tied by the City Clerk ,of the City 01' Vernon, California,
and furnished to said City ot Los Angeles, shall con-
stitute the permit to be issued to said City ot Los
Angeles as contemplated herein.
SEOTION 5. The City Olerk shall oertify to the
passage and adoption 01' this resolution; shall enter
the same in the Jook 01' Resolutions of said City of
Vernon, and shall make a minute ot the adoption thereof
in the recorda of the City Council of said 01t1 in the
minutes ot the meeting at which the same is passed and
iJ.dopted.
