WBEBE:IS, the :Mqor of the city of Vernon has
heretofore appoint.ed two aommittees from the members of the
City Council. one committee known aa the .ater Co.mmittee,
and the ot.her known as the POWJer and Light CO!IDId ttea; and
Ill~, it is the desire of t.he City Counail to
combine said commi.ttees into one c.omm.it'tee to be known as the
Water and Power Commit tee of the 6i ty of Vernon; and.
WBERJ.US. it. is the desire of the C.lty Counoil to
define the duties of said. Committee and to appoint a a.ee:reta:z:y
therefor;
NOW, TEEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1.. That the aomlDittees of the Cl1ty Council
heretofore designated as the Water CoIlIlJdttee and the Power and.
Light Committee be, and the same are hereby, c-ombined, and
said co1'l'.lD'11.tt.ee shall. henceforth be known as the Water and Power
Committee of the City of Vernon.
Sec:t ion 2.. that the c-ounc ilmen now: up-Cln bouh com-
mit.tees shall act as the Water and Pn-er t':ommittee. of' the
city of 'tEanon until the ir auccesaors are. appoint:ed.
Sec-tion S. !he duties. of said. committ.ee are tha'l

the Water Department and the Power and Light De~tment of U1e.
