A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTH-
ORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH THE CALIFORNIA. ',=:B.A.XHIG COMPANY, LOS ANGELmS PRETZEL COM-
PANY, INC., and BROWN-BEVIS EQ.Um\n!:NT COMPA1ff, INDEMNIFYING
TEEM AGAINST ANY LOSS CAUSED BY THE DISCONTINUING OF THEm.
ELEC'l'RIC ENERGY SERVICE FROM TEE PUBLIC SERVICE CORPORAT ION
NOil SERVING THEIl AND CONNECT ING ';rITE THE CITY'S ELECTR IC
GEEERAT ING AND DISTRIBUTING SYSTEM.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOiVS:
Section. 1: That the Mayor and the City Clerk of'
said City be author ized and instruct.ed and e.powered to enter
into an indemnity agreement with the California Baking c.ompany,
a corporation., Los Angel.es .Pretzel. Compan:t9', Inc., a coporation,
and Brown-Bevis Equipment Company, a.. corporat ion, against any
judgment that may be secured against them by the Southern Cali-
fornia. Edison Company, Ltd., a corporation, caused by their dis-
cant inuance o.f aervice with said public service co.rpora.t ion and
securing service from the City's electric generating &I1d dis-
tributing system.
Section 2: That said damage, if any, shall be paid
out of the Special Reserve Indemnity Fund heret afore crea.ted
by said city out of the grosa revenues r"eceived by the city
from users of electric. energy.
Section S: That the City Cl.erk sha.ll certify to the
passage of this Resolution, and thereafter the same shal.l be
in full force and effect.
