THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'I'HE CITY O:F' VERNON DOES RESOL\lE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City an

agreement designated as "An Agreement by Municipality or
7
Political Subdivision to Maintain Highways unproved Under
the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935"; and

W}illREAS, the City is desirous of entering into the
10
terms of said agreement;

NOW, 1'EEREFOHE, BE rr RESOLVED:

Section 1: That J. J. Purlong, Mayor of the City of
13
Vernon, be, and he hereby is, authorized, instructed and em-
14
powered for and on behalf of the City to execute said agree-
15
mente
16
Section 2: That a certified copy of this Resolution
17
be attached to said agreement.
18
Section 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to the
19
passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
20
21
same shall be in full force and effect.

1. That the Highway Department will submit a project for the

constructed by the Highway Department and the Secretary of Agri-
culture it thereafter, at its own cost and expense, will maintain
the project in a mallner satisfactory to them, or their authorized
representatives, and will make ample provision each year for such
maintenance. of that portion of the project within the limits of
the said City.
