Section 1: That Wayne N. Johnson be, and he hereby
is, appointed to the office of Chief Electrical Engineer of
the City of Vernon.
Section 2: That said Chief Electrical Engineer
shall be in charge of all electrical design, construction,
operation and maintenance of the city's electric distribut-
ing system and related activities, and shall make requisi-
tions to t he Water and Power Connni ttee for all purchases in
this department.
Section ~: That said Chief Electrical Engineer,

together with the Chief Engineer of the power plant of the

city of Vernon, shall be individually responsible, in their

respective positions, to the city, and shall be jointly

responsible for the successfUl and satisfactory operation of
the electric and Diesel operations of the plant as a whole.
Section4: That said Chief Electrical Engineer
shall make all reports and recommendations to his immediate
superior, to-wit, the Chairman of the Water & Power Committee.
Section 5: That the salary of the Chief Electrical
Engineer ihall be the swme as he is receiving at the present
time until the fUrther order of the City CounciJ.. He shall
hold office at the pleasure of the City Council.
Section 6: That all Resolutions and parts of
Resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
rescinded.

Section 7: That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
