A BESOLurl'ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AeCBB!'-
ING A CERTAIN DEED
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the deed heretofore submitted by
the Leonie Investment Company for that portion of Lot 7, of
. Association,
the 500 Acre Tract of the Los Angeles Fruit tanS{ as per map
recorded in Book 3, Pages 156 and 157, Miscellaneous Records
of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of'said'Lot 7;
thence westerly, along the northerly line thereof, 198.25 feet,
more or less, to the easterly line of the 100 foot strip of
land described in deed to the City of Los Angeles, recorded in
Book 6702 Page 102 Official Records of s aid County; thence
southerly, along said easterly line to the northerl,. line of the
33.5 foot strip of'land described in deed to Centra.l Manu-
facturing District, Inc., recorded in Book 5l99,'Page 360,
Official Reeords of'saidCounty; thence easterl,.,alo11gsaid
northerly line, 198.22 feet, mo~or less, to the easterl,. line
of said Lot 7; thence northerly, along said last mentioned
easterly line to the point of beginning.
RESERVINGUl'ltothe grantor,'its successors and
assigns, an easement and right of way, over, under, along and
acrOSB the southerly 17 feet of the above described property,
for road and railroad purposes.
SUBJECT TO: General and special taxes for the
fiscal year 1936-37, mat include levies for Vernon MUnicipal

Pursuant to the notice inviting sealed
proposals or bids for the furnishing of land for
water well site east of Soto Street in the City
of Vernon, I hereby submit for your approval my
offer to sell to the City of Vernon part of Lot
7 of the Los Angeles Fruitland 500 Acre Tract, as
per map recorded in Book 3, page 156 of Maps,
records of Los Angeles COtUlty, containing 1.2277
acres; reserving, however, to the grantor, his
nominees, heirs, executors, administrators or as-
signs, an easement upon, over and across the South
17 feet of said described land for the building of
a railroad or other roads upon, along or across
said South 17 feet of the above described property.

Enclosed you will find Cashier's check
for $1200.00, which is ten per cent of the pro-

property owned by the Los Angeles Soap Company, located on Vernon
Avenue, east of the Atlas Packing Company, described as follows:
Lot 2, end the west 90 ft. of Lot J, Tract
4621, being a property lying on the North
side of Vernon Avenue between Magnolia and
Dovmey Road, Vernon, California.
The property has a 190 ft. frontage on Ver-
non Avenue, and a depth of 215 ft., parcel
containing .94 acres, and is recorded in
Book 108, pages 99 and 100, records Los
Angeles County, City of Los Angeles, Calif-
ornia.
This property is submitted on a confirmed price
by the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Soap Company at twelve
thousand dollars ($12,000.00).
