3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CI'fY COUNCIL OF THE CIn OF VERNON AUTH-
ORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF $650.00 TO COMPLETE THE CLEAH-
4 ING OF WELL NO. 1 OF THE CI'l'Y.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
6 ,THAT WHEREAS, the Acting City Engineer ha~ reported
7 to the City Council the necessity of having Well No. 1 com-
8 pletely cleaned so as not to leave the City in danger of a
9 shortage of water; and
10 WHEREAS, upon further examination by the Acting
11 City Engineer of the eondi tion of the well and the necessity
12 for the immediate expenditure of finds;
13 IT IS RESOLVED AS FOltLCIlS':

Section 1: That the City Council does declare and
15 determine that public interest and neeessi ty demand the im.me-
16 Mate expenditure of public money to safeguard life, health
17 and property.
18 Section 2: That there is hereby autho~lzed the
19 expenditure of a sum of money not to exceed $650.00 for th~
20 immediate cleaning and repairing of Well No.1 of the City.

Section 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to
22 the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and. thereafter
23 the same shall be in full force and effect.
